I'm pretty sure it was planned. When I saw them back in '05ish, they played at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor MI and Baby Got Back was played during intermission... all the gothy kids were all "ew" and when intermission was over she busted out with the first few bars of the song.. it rocked.
