Child acting can screw a person up. Bale was a child actor. He had a right to be angry, but he really lost his cool. Yes it was a huge blow-up, and yes he acted poorly, but when everything is riding on you as an actor in a 100 million dollar film, you can get on edge. Having been on movie sets myself, I can say that his blow up, although more profane and stronger than usual, is not completely out of the ordinary. Sometimes you just have to vent, at least he didn't actually trash any lights.
Throwing stuff and yelling wouldn't really help your situation at all and probably would mess up the other peoples day causing more bad feelings and delays. If he had avoided getting angered that badly he would probably got back to the acting faster and apparently felt better as well.

If you're a responsible actor in an important movie, like T4 is for Terminator fans, and are shooting a very emotional scene, even "little" stuff can get you off your standard attitude in a fraction of a second. He's a man I'd put my hand in fire for.

Child acting can screw a person up. Bale was a child actor. He had a right to be angry, but he really lost his cool. Yes it was a huge blow-up, and yes he acted poorly, but when everything is riding on you as an actor in a 100 million dollar film, you can get on edge. Having been on movie sets myself, I can say that his blow up, although more profane and stronger than usual, is not completely out of the ordinary. Sometimes you just have to vent, at least he didn't actually trash any lights.

Asking for refund for the stuff you had broken??
Throwing stuff and yelling wouldn't really help your situation at all and probably would mess up the other peoples day causing more bad feelings and delays. If he had avoided getting angered that badly he would probably got back to the acting faster and apparently felt better as well.

Stress or not how would you feel if you were making something and some asshole whose face you can't stand would start trashing it for you, deprive you of your time/profit in order to increase his... just like when you record a song, there must be silence, no noise, otherwise the recorded material is useless - but no, they must screw it all up and then make the creative people snap... if it was me I'd start throwing stuff at em and then I'd go and ask for a refund from the security company

Christian Bale is a human being. Human beings make mistakes, have meltdowns etc. UNLESS THEY DO NOTHING. Those who do nothing should never judge those who do something, especially those who do something they take seriously, with all their heart. If you're a responsible actor in an important movie, like T4 is for Terminator fans, and are shooting a very emotional scene, even "little" stuff can get you off your standard attitude in a fraction of a second. He's a man I'd put my hand in fire for.
