Back to the language thing, there's like 171 DIFFERENT native languages in the philippines. Back to the language thing, there's like 171 DIFFERENT native languages in the philippines. So they don't have some writing system that is shared among all 171 of them. the government had to make filipino the national language (based off the tagalog dialect). i admire your attempt and approach to discredit us filipinos, but it remains flawed. and we don't ALL have spanish names. my mom does but my aunt's name is Ling. I don't think that's Spanish ;)

You assume it means far east people, which is common because China had such a major influence all over Asia especially in Korea and Japan. But the reason why Filipinos differ so much from east asians is because they were colonized early. that's all. the philippines DID have their own writing systems, they were more "tribal" but with forced education from Spain, they had to learn spanish and learn to write in Spanish using romanized letters (A, B, C, D...) contd...

to clear this up, filipinos are racially connected to the Polynesians because they are Malayans, but culturally ASIAN (Indian influences and Malay root heritage) and COLONIAL (Spanish and American influences). And TAGALOG (and other languages) is related to Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia, both are written in the ROman alphabet.

Anyone can go look up ASEAN (the UN version of Asia) the country of Philippines is officially and internationally recognized by all governments as an Asian country. Filipinos are descendants of Malaysians mostly, and a whole bunch of other ethnicities too many to list with Spanish being the only non Asian Country, so you can only go so far as saying they are only part asian.

Arabs are also in the Asian Continent. Basically, asia is a melting pot of oriental culture. Asia has sub-continents, and Filipinos are in the Malay sub-continent, with Indonesia and Malaysia. You are basically refering to Mongol subcontinent (China, Japan, Korea, etc.) India and the Middle East are the others.
