Most of the DS were manufactured with manual or semi automatic gearboxes. On the semi automatic models, there was no clutch pedal, you had to change the speed in manual way, with the engine speed. Several thousands DS were produced with real automatic gearboxes (Borg Warner gearboxes), with the last model the 23ie. The last year of production was 1975 for the sedans. (The last one produced was on the 24th 1975). Production of station wagon models lasted until 1976.
