@mrsbubblegum481 Same here. While Beauty and the Beast was the first Broadway musical I've seen (on tour), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was the first show I LEGITIMATELY saw ON Broadway in New York! :D
I saw this on the west end when Simon Thomas from Blue Peter was set a challenge to be a dancer in the ole bamboo routine. I didn't realise he was in it till I saw him, and myself on Blue Peter a couple of weeks later, so he must have been good enough! :p I also saw the touring version at the Mayflower in Southampton. it definitely wasn't as well done as the west end, and seems a great deal smaller and less grand
@tomwilliets i know what you mean. Its because the mayflower is alot smaller than the west end in london so by the time they get the sets up on the mayflower stage it looks tiny & also must things you see on the westend version of this you wouldnt of seen at the mayflower due to the stage space.
this was such a cute show...i auditioned for it when it was on broadway and the directors and producers loved me. i think i had a chance for the little boy's part at the time. :/ to bad they closed like a month later. :[

saw this on tour a few years ago. Quite good. Kids in the audience were very very excited to see the car fly. I was pretty excited too :)
