Less than 1% of models sign with a top modeling agency...so don't be discouraged if you don't sign with a top agency there are other really good smaller agencies out there :). There are a lot of scams so do your research and use common sense ;).

Hey guys I'm turning 13 and I am about 5'4 to 5'6 and 93 pounds. I get told by people I look pretty and I am leo so I have alot of confidence! hahaha. I really love the fashion industrys like chanel. I have dark brown hair past my shoulders and brown eyes. Do any of you think I have a chance at modeling when I am older? Like ads or maybe even runway?

@tegy100 exactly like me haha except I'm 19 now, yes the best thing you have to start is to begin training and get fit and toned, you have a long enough time gain a muscular body and by the time your 18 you will become more handsome and taller having a greatly shaped body, ofcourse not too much muscles though only enough to look good like most of the male models. then you'll need some tan and get your hair styles get a portfolio of some images, and go into an agency, chance is 80%+ you'll get in

@tegy100 ;) go for it :D if your in london I recommand replay or FMagency, since your chances will become multiplied, but remember your first time must be the best haha coz they are strict everywhere, watch out for fake agencies that tell you, you must make a portfolio for £250 or what ever, a real agency never asks you for that only a natural picture or 2 and they will invest in your portfolio, good luck >.^

@tegy100 sorry, but if you are under 5'7" not a chance : ( runway is usually 5'8" and higher... pretty isen't enough

@tegy100 Forget what @sweetblackstarx said about pretty isnt enough, I think that when your older you should go for it, My mum used to be a model and now she is getting me into modeling, I am 12 and 5'4 and weigh 6 stone i have blonde hair equal to my shoulders and all my friends say im gorgeous, i have already been to a couple of photoshoots, so just go for it when your ready its really fun. but hard. :') x

@tegy100 Depends if you grow to be 5'8" when you get older.

If you don't you can look for petite agencies! Most runway is over 5'8". :) I love modeling!

@izzybarreras For most agencies, you are going to have to be 5 foot 8 to do standard modeling. Some agencies accept heights below that, but people over 5'8 are most likely to get jobs because they can do any type of modeling.

I am 5'11". :) My agency looks for girls 5 foot 8 to 6 foot.

@sayeverythingnow1 being short is not always a problem to modelling agencies, if your very handsome and catchy in a photgragh, I believe no one will reject you, ofcourse unless your shorter than 5 foot lol

@BoxxieBear Not really. If you want to be a model, the first thing to do is to find several reputable agencies in your area and visit them. They can tell you whether or not they want you. Amateur photography isn't the way to go.

If your friend takes some profile pics for your portfolio (Side of Face/ Front of Face/ Full Body Pics/ And Extras that show off YOU) & you give them to a REAL modeling agency (not the fake Shitty ones they offer you in the Mall) & they like it , you can be one ! You just gotta make sure your between the sizes 0-6 too Okaay .
