80's music; pop. lots of innovation in the 80's. I liked it for the melodies. A lot of the really good music always had actual melody in them; unlike other genre's. The other really innovative thing I find in the 80s pop was combining dance beats with orchestral instruments. Alphaville used horns and strings a lot. Eurythmics used the same thing, so did Soft Cell.
