Good for You! Mine still works. i have upgraded the firmware, since I bought it.
BD media is down to about 2$. Or the same as dual layer DVD-R.
It's BD time.;-)

LG is one of the best optical drives maker. I have 2 LG blu ray drives. One is a BD-rom DVD/CD burner the CH08LS10 and i have a BD-RE burner the BH08LS20. Both drives are internal optical drives and i'm very happy with these drives. I had a LITE-ON BD-rom drive but that one lasted for 5 months now its going back to the retailer for warranty. No more lite-on optical drives for me...

Hello, I got an interesting question I need to ask, I've recently brought 2 of the same drive as you got. It is possible to rip a HD-DVD disc and burn that content onto a Blu-ray disc with ripping software?
