Hey guys just FYI, this doesn't actually work when you submit it to Apple. I know from experience. Instead, look up (on YouTube) "Putting iAd into your App (The Apple Approved Way)"
2 things, you need to use the code provided by Apple to hide your ad if ads aren't available. Second, you don't NEED to download the iAd package, thats if you want to build ads.
Yeah, do NOT follow this tutorial. Apple was reject your app because you have to put in code to hide the iad banner when the ads are not loaded. Follow my tutorial because I have the code and it will be accepted by apple.
I have followed your video but I get a problem. When I run it on iPhone simulator, the iAd banner doesn't show up. There is just a white background in the app. Am I missing something?
I just started developing a few weeks ago, and I am amazed that about 98% of what I am learning about development I learn from kids that haven't hit puberty yet. Great video, and thanks for the help.
Making note you also have to create a APP ID (Bundle ID, specific for that application and the iads, through Developer Protal - iPhone - Provisioning Portal - APP ID
if you submit an app with this they make you hide the ad when there is no ad being shown... how can u do that? if you want i can send you the email they sent me
@TheAppleReviewGuy Yep I did on iTunes connect and on the dev site. They just told me I need to be able to make my iAd's hide when the iPhone/iPod Touch doesn't have internet connection, so it doesn't just display nothing.
@TheAppleReviewGuy Actually apple gives you 1¢ for every view and then more for every click. I've went with admob before and you barely get any money at all!
@Ipoditouchreview3r Actually apple gives you 1¢ for every view and then more for every click. So you end up getting 60% of that. I've went with admob before and you barely gotten any money at all!
