One of the best surprise military sortie air attack's ever, many brave men and women

made the B-25 mission a success and forced the Jap's to shift dwindling military hardware to protect the country while we took all the Islands around them. If you think about it, we declared war on Dec. 8, 1941 from the attack on Pearl Harbor and we ended the Japan War on Sept 2, 1945 (1365 days) and Germany started the war on Dec. 11, 1941 and we ended the Germans on May 8, 1945 (1245 days) truly amazing.

Nice work, clostermann9 !! This is great footage. It helps us all remember the courage & exceptional skill & bravery of the Doolittle Raiders. Lest We Forget. What incredible flying skill it took to get those bombers off the pitching carrier-deck in such a short take-off space. Carrier ops are highly-dangerous at any time .. we have plenty of archival footage elsewhere on YouTube to testify to that. This aspect alone makes the Doolittle Flyers even more remarkable in their valour.
