Not enough power. AudioBahn's are so under rated. I had a 1800 watt Kenwood Class D Mono Block .5 ohm capability amp. powering 2 12" audiobahns rated only at 800 RMS, and they could have handled alot more.

U must be crazy my Bro has had 2 audiobahn 12"s (2400w a piece) 4 like 2 or 3 years, them things hit hard. a few mnths ago he had them underpowed but some how they managed to crack his dashbord, they were on a 1200watt stereo amp. now there on a 5000w class D mono block amp. long story short: they kick ass.

@DjR3aper You can always go a bit bigger on a box. Anyone correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe there is a specified size for sealed. You have to build bigger on a ported box. Usually the minimum required size is larger for ported. It all depends on the acoustics of the car if you ask me, if your speaking of sound quality. Sealed is probably for more SQ, and ported is for loud booming.

they might just be wired wrong check in the back of your speakers and see if they are wired series or parallel. AMP audiobahn or jl i went for all audiobahn.

I have these 2 subwoofers too.. the natural audiobahn 12's. Had it wired 1 ohm 900 rms in a sealed box with .8 cubic foot airspace. wasnt satisfied, then with new box built myself. at 4 ohms .. 500 rms to both. it hits so hard i can barley breathe! my hair and cloths and car gets torn off and it sounds very clean and undisturbed! ( when placed right distance from back wall of trunk) ( so front waves meet up with back waves) hope this helps and good luck

well i was looking at the same sub for my first setup, (but I actually went with the Kicker CVR 12). but since ur getting the kenwood i would go with a sealed bc that's what kenwood recommends. If your only getting 1 then get 400w rms amp. like a kicker ZX400.1. i have one a it never gets hot and it pounds the heck outa the CVR. as for the capacitor, if you only got 1 sub u should be fine. if your getting 2 i would think about getting 1. (a 1 farad cap. bc u will be below 1000w)

@wax333 a push/pull are u serious??? talk about killin the the subs. as one pair would be pushing in that big of a air space they would bottom out if the SSF wasnt saving them. that would be running 2 subs basically in 2 times the amount of room they should be in. then ud run into a cancellation issue with the subs so far out of wack it would be ridiculous. there is no way in hell to wire a push/pull with a single amp period! u need 2 and then u use yer phase warp with a reverse polarity type EQ

lol theft protection is right, i had to do the same thing. Literally cut the frame 1 1/2 behind the back seats to fit my box with 4 10's in my grand prix then welded the peice back on, had to take a saw to the box to get it out of the car

yes it only had those two ports and YES and was a VERY tight squeeze, it wouldnt fit through the trunk so i had to take out my backseats and shove it through there.. talk about theft protection =)...

My 2 15's that i now have were even harder.. i had to dremmel some of the freakin metal along the top of the backseat entrance for the box to fit x.x
