Don't worry, I've had fosters running full force into walls and still run around as if nothing has happened. It took almost a month till one litter stopped ramming their heads into any solid object they could fine. (Including me. And don't worry, none of them were brain damaged in any way) Not saying you shouldn't be careful with them, but kittens are tougher then their fluffy cuteness might lead some to believe. I doubt that fluff ball felt much compared to what you heard.
