  • how do you change th trubo vane positions? im new to efi live.

  • Backed into a brick wall........hilarious!

  • Normally an LLY doesn't idle like this at all. He tuned the turbo vane position to 0% at idle to give it the LB7 rumble, then probably used a switch to change tunes back to the normal idle, and right back to the open idle again

Duramax is it's own entity really. It was and always has been a joint venture between isuzu and gm, that may have changed recently, not sure.

  • what does efi live consist of...i mean, how does it work, is it programmer or ??

  • NICE TRUCK!!! mine is 02 6.6 efi live staright piped with k&n airfilter minus the uhh turbo vain

  • one thing i hate about ford and duramax engines is the quiet diesel engines!!!!!!!! wtf!! what is the point of getting a diesel engine if its gonna be silent like a gasoline engine. i love the knocking noise of a diesel and i think it should stay like that. cummins is the enigine that hasnt been silenced sound. i think cummins is the best sounding engine bcuz it sounds almost like a semi. but tats my opinion

  • come on diesel guys. lets stop arguing which diesel engine is the best. i have a 6.0l powerstroke but like cummins and wouldnt mind a duramax. im happy as long as i can here a turbo spooling up and that my engine doesnt need any spark plugs. fuck spark plugs.

  • whats that vacum noose its sounds very sweet, how do u make it do that

  • anyway you can tell me the extact details of the exhaust I am wanting to put one on my duramax this one sound like the one i am wanting

  • The exhaust is 4" straight pipe from the downpipe back.

  • if you run the turbo too low it will wear out faster

  • sounds like a 6.0 when the turbo sound kicked in u should leave it like that but have the turbo come in on a delay. i loooove that.

  • actually let me rephrase that,,,haha, what do you have the vane position set to for the rumble? im a newbie to efilive

  • what is the turbo v position?

  • Does anyone know what the "M A" stickers on his truck stand for? If you check out the videos on the truck nasty girl it has the same stickers

  • Merchant Automotive, they specialize in Duramax's

  • Merchant Automotive

  • dude that sounds really good. i wanna get the same setup with EFI live and either a 5 inch straight or just one stack in the bed, prob either a 6 or 7 inch

  • how did you chang the position of your vains in the turbo at idle? b/c they are somewhat similar, i should be able to do this in my fords turbo.. in theory

  • duramax is made by Dmax in ohio, which is owned by GM, isuzu hasnt made GMs diesels since like 98'

  • your a dumbass

  • Man, you should get a hidden hitch for that to clean up your back end a bit.

  • sweet sounding truck

  • duracrap? thats funny....since dodge doesnt use their own motor and GM does....if it wasnt for cummins agreement with dodge dodge woudlnt be anything in the diesel world unless they built their own engines......duramax came out in july 2001 and already 8 years later have 6 classes of diesel engines and some of the best reputations in the industry...do your homework w little more apha87

  • isuzu came up wit the designs, chevrolet still builds them right here in the good USA

  • wow buddy. you need to do some research. Duramx is made by Isuzu, which Chevy contracts them to make their DMax diesel. The Cummins, is made by Cummins. The Powerstroke is made by Navistar, formally International. The 2 greatest pickup diesels made: Powerstroke and the Cummins. I use a powerstroke to tow my 4 horse gooseneck trailer LQ

  • now it's International Truck & Engine =P my dad works there

  • Comment removed

  • @diesal41989 Doesn't Isuzu make the duramax? I mean if you really want to think about it now, Ford is the only ones that make there own diesel engines now with the 6.7.

  • @diesal41989 duramax = izuzu faggot

  • @diesal41989 i thought it was joint venture between general motors and isuzu motors

  • @granderd not anymore, duramax as off 2010 is gm built, no more isuzu

  • @diesal41989

fyi gm doesnt use their own motors...gm makes the the truck, ISUZU produces the duramax motor...so it sounds like you need to do your homeowrk..

  • @92w250CTD ummm nope retard bulit and put together in ohio u need to do ur homework jackoff

  • @92w250CTD Do they? So they are not built in Canton, OH in a GM plant?

  • those tires look badass on that truck

  • You mean cummapart

  • dude, thats a nice lookin d-max

  • i agree=)

  • Sounds awsome man, I just ordered 5" to add to my Bank Six Gun w/PDA. Can't wait to get it on. How do you like the EFI Live and do you have a lift to fit the 33's. Get some more shots of the rest of the truck

  • EFI Live is the best for a Duramax No offense but banks just doesn't cut it they are for minor upgrades And you should have no problems fitting 33's on your truck without a lift.

  • im in love xD

  • never seen a diesel with a roll pan, looks awesome. good sound too

  • i like the roll pan did you have to get a hidden hitch fo it to fit or is it the factory hitch

  • The hitch is a Reese TowBeast class V. It's slid forward about 6".

  • ohh ok so im guessing the spare is gone...and wut did you just drill new holes in the frame for it.

  • How did you get your bumper flat like that?

  • I backed into a brick wall and hit it with some Krylon spray bomb...

  • hah!

  • How did you get your exhaust to change sound at 17-18 seconds on your video

  • @nodmax hahahaha.

  • chevys are crap that ride like cars. If you want a truck get a ford. power isn't everything.

  • what is then? if its got the best ride, and the most power, what do you look for? a shiny grille?

  • I'm just saying that suspension on chevy trucks are crap. And the seat sits too low for a truck feel. Just my opinion.

  • well we all have our opionions

  • Alright yes IFS sucks for hardcore offroading but if your just cruising and just need 4x4 for a little then IFS and its alot smoother on the road you can also do a straight axle swap if you wanted. They make parts to beef up the IFS to make it stronger still no Straight Axle but good. And the seat sits fine. Don't compare a S10 to a Full Size.

  • yea because if i was going to do some hardcore off roading i would buy a 40,000 dollar duramax. not.

  • the differences in the power numbers right now are really not even something to be bothered with, dodge has 350/650, ford 350/650 and gm 360/660, negligible differences and it comes down to owning whichever one you like most personally, all 3 can get the job done, my 03 6.0 still gets the job done with a mere 325/570

  • Amazing

  • Isuzu designed the engine, so it's still an Isuzu.

  • they did the paper work, chevrolet built it, so its a CHEVY engine that was designed by Isuzu, so its a chevy

  • hey how do u get the duramax to sound

like that, ur truck sounds amazing

  • I would like to say that you are wrong because although the Duramax was developed with Isuzu, GM produces it. Isuzu doesn't have much of anything to do with the engine anymore. GM produces and upgrades the Duramax, soley. So it is basiclly a GM diesel.

  • Thx i learn something today

  • duramaxs definately are some good diesels. What kinda mileage you getting? I have a 98 1500 , but my dad wants to trade in his cadillac sts for a duramax.

  • I have a 2007 GMC and I have 14,000 mi on it. I have afe stage 2 and a 4inch cat back exhaust with the bully dog PMT. I am getting 15-17 mpg on street, (depending on how I drive) and 21-24 mpg on highway, also depending how I drive. The engine isn't even broken in yet. I would suggest the trade in.

  • the chevs have the best ride(by far) and more power bowtie you STFU

  • I'm not a ford man, I have a duramax myself and love it. But for those of you that don't know, Ford does not make powerstroke, International does.

  • yea dodge dosnt make cummins and ford dosnt make powerstroke and Gm (General moters) dosnt make duramax/ it is kinda bad that no american car coorperation makes there own diesel truck moters/I am a chevy fan though

  • by the way nodmax, sweet video if you don't already have one get a full view of the truck

  • IFS is for mini-trucks. Keep your GM outrunning Ford and Dodges on the road and leave the heavy work and off-road stuff to REAL trucks., GM has been oppressed with their shitty diesels for so long, they finally get to beat their chests about a fast street truck...now if they could make it haul or tow something it might be worth buying.

  • What's your point? Let's see some video of your badass truck, if you have one.

  • sorry BOWTIESAREFORFAGS, but Isuzu actually makes some of the best diesels on the planet along with Cummins and Yamanar. And if Powerstroke is so good why don't they use it in heavy duty trucks huh? They switched the F650 over to the 6.7l Cummins because it's a better engine than Powerjoke

  • Actually there have always been three engine choices in the F650's, CAT, Cummins, and PowerStroke. But yes you do see more CAT and Cummins engines

  • that sounds so much better than that stupid whistle i didnt know you could do that with the efi live can you raise the fuel pressure limit too?

  • Yes, the rims are Weld Evo Velocity 8's with 33" Toyo MT's.

  • Eh i love hearing the turbo whistle too much that sounds nice. Are those Weld EVO Velociti rims or am i wrong? they look badass

  • i rather be hearing the turbo whisling then just rumbling it sounds better to me

  • All you chevy fans make fun of the 6.0l because of the variable vane turbo and the noise it makes. But when a chevys got it its awsome. chevys suck!

  • We actually make fun of the 6.0l because it sucked ass and was constantly breaking.

  • that just about somes it up!

that is a nice looking truck!

  • i agree with wtfmytube. Everyone makes fun of the 6.0's because they blow up all the time.

  • nice i am a massive fan of cummins but a bigger fan of duramaxs

    they get better mpg

  • efi live $749 rumble...priceless

  • Straight piped LLYs' just sound like vacuum cleaners at idle because of the variable vain turbo. You have to have EFI live to change your vain position at idle to get this nice rumble.

  • i was wondering what happened to the turbo noise that only came up for a second

  • Wow that sounds mean. My LLY has a straight 4" pipe with the CAT and almost sounds stock. Makes me want to order a bypass pipe and pull it off!

  • Thanks. I pay my tuner in beer and bling!

  • Sounds pretty much like mine. Rumbles nice.
