  • I've never watched button moon or hearrd the song before, but its familiar!

  • Holy nostalgia...I used to love this as a kid. When I realised that it wasn't, in fact, magic, but people dressed in the same colour as the background, moving everything about, I was very sad. The world changed that day. The world changed...

  • @LCMac3 I am 31 and I never knew that :( until I read your comment just now... boo hoo, you have ruined it for me forever!!! Seriously!

  • i like the stars at 3:25min!

p.s. is captain large a transvestite? - that's cool, each to thier own.

  • Who needs CGI?

  • Memories :') Im only 9 ;) But i used to watch this :')

  • Anyone in uk, Asda do some great dvds on their website, 80s tv classics with many of our cartoons we grew up on in the 80s, quite cheap to.

  • Im going to try and get them to regulary watch all the fantastic classics which i grew up with. I really think alot of todays children shows are not very good and sometimes boring, i mean my kids mess around and im constantly telling them off for being to loud or playing and reminding them to watch tv, when i was young, me & my bro n sis were glued to the shows we watched from the time we got home from school to bed time. Anyway thats my two pence worth here. Thanks for the upload !!!

  • Im so pleased to see that most of what i named along with some other wicked classics from my young days such as the original rainbow, knightmare, POB (The little cartoony teddy type guy who used to spit at the tv screen and write his name in it lol).. popeye, Alf, bananaman, captain caveman, dennis (not dennis menace but the yellow haired kid one). charlie brown show, fraggle rock, garfield and friends, muppet babies and many more are available to download or get on dvd, my kids wont miss out!

  • Im 32 and reckon the tv shows i had as a kid were fantastic, im sitting here with my 7 year old daughter watching and i cannot believe she doesnt even know button moon, shes never heard of superted, fraggle rock, the trap door, rosie and jim, the raggy dolls, count duckula, danger mouse, dog tanian, the smurfs (original not cartoony type remake, altho she dont know that either) to name just a few, all she can tell me is she watches horrid henry and ben 10..

  • i wasent born when it came out i had the video ahh i loved this show but now its all talking teddys and craphic shows

  • i remember the episode where they go to button moon and have a paper trail game and that hoover goes round sucking all the pieces up.wow i really have to stop smokin weed and takin magic mushrooms

  • I should be doing homework.

  • love this programme learnt alot from it esp not to sit on old sofa cos they may eat u y did they stop showin this xx

  • Lovely TV. I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with my 10-month-old niece today. My mum had one of those new Nick jr channels on the telly, showing stuff like Dora the Explorer. Lola WAS watching it, but was equally fascinated and distracted by a circular coaster spun on the laminate flooring. That was the beauty of Button Moon. Fun and fantasy and daft voices. When we realised the ship was a Heinz beans can, we carried on watching just to say to others "that's a bean can, you know"!

  • i have the book of this episode!

  • 3:53 LOL WTF

  • i've still got a button moon video from when i was younger

  • classic button moon i love it my names tina like tina teaspoon haha

  • LOL EGBURT WHAT A NAME :') <3

  • i like the way they mention 'spaceship' as though its nothing special

  • Awwww i watched this when i was a child and when my baby is born they will watch it too =)

  • i love button moon....nostalgia

  • Awwww memories :)

  • Tina Teaspoon was such a slut, man.

  • I wish they still showed this,I'm only twelve but I remember good cartoons like this,no rubbish like icarly and stuff like that.

  • ROFL DO U KNOW WHAT I AM!? YES NOISEY!!! XD awww sweet sweet childhood memories XD

  • My childhood summed up in a YouTube clip :')

  • Sponsored by Heinz™

  • 4 people dont like buttons

  • My, I had no idea that Captain Large Bottle dressed in drag for this episode. You never know, Button Moon may have subconsciosly programmed me to be a transvestite. "It's such a windy day, the wind's blowing right up my dress!" (in a butch male accent)

  • "Thank you small" those two remind me of pike and captain mannering in this episode :D

  • Is it me, or is the space ship a tin of heinz beans >.>

  • @georgia795

And a tin of pears for the base... and the thing on the top, what's it called again?

  • @TheMarkOfTheBeast1 A funnel I think? :D

  • @georgia795

Yes. A tin of heinz beans, a tin of pears....(actually, it might be a tin of tuna)... and a funnel.

It's strange how I never noticed that before. Nicely spotted

  • YAY! i so loved button moon

  • i remember this one lol

  • *sigh* nobody puts this much effort into kids tv programs these days (or this little depending on which way you look at it)

  • ah what a lovely song, so many childhood memories!! Should have been released in the charts, that song!

  • gotta love the flying tin of beans. :D

  • This is why kids do drugs

  • i adored this programme when i was a child. coming home from nursery school to watch button moon

  • My favourite that very much I was 6 year old to love Button Moon stroy with a real dream come true. I love you Button Moon!!!

  • I Love that programme I was around 6 or 7 year old. But now I haven't seen around many years. Like it that very much for memory that was dreaming about those!!!! Because I trust that my favourite Button Moon are best of the stroy Programme. Beautiful!

  • buttonnn moooooonnn ! :')

  • tghere should be a church for button moon

  • Winnie Wilson was trusted to look after Eggbert, despite being played by Rusty Lee. Omelette time.

  • im 12 years old at the moment and i like this stuff and my dad tells me to watch it but i cant get enough of it, my point is that all other kids should watch this instead of crappy american cartoons, no offence to any americans, pure british tele ;)

  • @fortchipo

You are right - kids shows used to be brilliant but they're awful now - pure muck. If you like this then check out Trap 'Door (very funny show) , Animaniacs, Dungeons and Dragons (which got banned for being too scary at the time) and a very old but classic show - Bagpuss. Everyone loved Bagpuss!

  • I always used to cry at the bit when they sang "be back soon" in the end title song! LOL! It still makes me emotional now and I'm a thirty four year old adult! LOL!

  • my kids are definitely going to brought up on programmes like this, I loved it as a child and it defo beats crap like iggle piggle hands down!!!

  • my cousin has spoons for arms- its no laughing matter- hes miserable

  • I love the blatant Baked Bean can space-ship :)

  • can we please fast forward to the cumshot?

  • Wonderful memories of when my children were young. We used to watch it with my Aunt, who adored them and also Button Moon. Lovely days of a time goneby. I must show this to my grandsons

  • I've just nearly threw up laughing at this........poor egbert

  • id like to watch this on magic mushrooms

  • Comment removed

  • Used to love this after school!

  • 2:06 a cracked egg shell put on a gollywog

  • Classic! Love it!

  • that 'space ship' is shite

  • Aaah... memories!

  • Wow, How much i miss this is like loads. I enjoyed watching this. X x

  • god this is excellent much better than harry potter

  • Hang on... is the rocket and HEINZ BAKED BEAN TIN???

    now that is just genius

  • Right. Now I was a child of the generation which watched this. with all the CGI spoils and robs children of their imaginations. I used to watch educational programs like Sooty and Sweep. I bloody miss hearing the words "Bye bye everybody, Bye Bye"

Children don't really have the imaginations like I did when I younger. And when I was younger we had ceefax in the morning, no 24hr telly we had restrictions on what we watched so we could entertain ourselves! No electronic nanny for us!

  • lol I always loved the Heinz Baked Beans can body of the rocket.

  • @smash4686 i know right :( Check out the new fireman sam!! Its crap compared 2 an old video tape i have of it!! :'(

  • @1002Beth and so PC. There's a kid in a wheel chair and an oriental family now. Just over doing the whole political correctness. I don't suppose they'll ever remake Rainbow because if a kid ever searched for that online, they'd be in for a nasty shock. Especially after reading their autobiography. XD

  • i love button moon and i'm 40

  • OMG lvd this wen i woz 2 had it on vid wached it constantly wel im 13 now

  • How lovely and yet how racist, I had no idea it was when I was little, is that Mrs. Wgy?"

  • It must be 25 years since i've seen this...my god.

  • 7:30. "Do you know what I am?" "Yes, noisy!"

That Rag Doll always was a high-maintenance piece of work. Poor Freddy Teddy, he never did quite figure out that he was just her bit of rough.

  • Classic childrens T.V.

  • @mcflyfarm

With his then wife Sandra Dickinson.

  • is the spoon spaceshape made out of a heinz baked beans tin?

  • love thiis <3

  • Why did our parents never question their kids watching a program with a cross dressing man called Mother Hubbard and a strange long oval thing called "Wee Willy Winky"

    Oh my days

  • I used to love button moon. But watching back on it now i don't quite know why, haha! Aww brings back memories :)

  • dispite being made on a budget of 27p, it was brilliant!

  • @monkseyman Really? 27p? Wow. Now-a-days there's no way a program could be made on that, pure genus. x) X_x XP x_X

  • @monkseyman SERIOUSLY?

no fuckin way, I used to love this as a kid. wanna watch it on acid lol

  • @soulflybitch just being sarcastic. it wasnt made of much tho, most of it you could find in a bin: a wooden spoon, a heinz baked bean tin, lolly sticks, and not forgetting, a button

    someone said it was £20??

  • Gosh how i love button moon

  • happy birthday egbert hope yhoo had a lovley day! lol xx
