Thomas Jefferson discussed it before this was a country: the basic rights of man (habeas corpus for one) belong to all men (not just to US citizens). The Patriot Act is an abomination and a return to the dark ages. War crimes are war crimes, even if our own country is responsible.

Yes, the troops should be respected, and she does just that. She donates thousands to veterans hospitals (Walter Reed) because she knows the current administration will do squat for them. What people say under torture isn't always reliable. McCain, who was a POW in VietNam, was himself tortured & he says it doesn't work. That's what Rosie's saying.
