You know I'm tired of people complaining about 'oh you molested me!' when all the agent did was use an x-ray, simple pat down in which there's actually no groping involved, and metal detectors. TSA Agents only do their job. You want a solution? START THINKING of one because all I see are people complaining. First class passengers don't go through pat downs? ROFL. I was one myself and I went through a pat down, didn't get molested either. When it comes to flying, everyone is considered a terroris
@Entertainedful Aaand what? I'll I see are wannabe victims screaming 'The TSA agent molested me!!!' and yet on most of these videos I've not seen one person under the 'new pat down' that has actually been molested. Let me know when you think of a solution that protects us from the terrorists.
I completely agree with you if this happened to me I would feel so violated I have two daughters and a son, if this happened to them especially my teenage daughter I would be irate.
We have to protect ourselves from terrorist its true, but if we live in such fear that we are prepared to strip each other of our human rights then they succeed.
It is Rapidscan created by Chertoff's who also created the Patriot Act. Nicole, thanks for posting this. You are so right about all of this. Once you have been patted down like this, you never forget. The American people need to wake up and contact their Senators & Congressional Reps and tell them they are not willing to stand for these invasive scanners and pat downs anymore. Let's restore our 4th amendment rights.
you go through the scanner to make sure that you are safe to fly that you are not concealing any threats to airline passengers. you go through the scanner so that you are not concealing any prohibited items i.e drugs which would not show up on the standard metal detector. the scanners are there to help prevent any disasters, and if there was a disaster the general population would be in uproar that security is not doing enough to prevent disasters, you cant have all the cake and eat it
@ReaperGFX give me a break, let me guess you don't have any children or a wife eh? Or maybe you forgot to read your Constitution, why are Israel's airports safer and yet they don't have to grope their women and children and electronically strip search them
@Paloomi it is scary and it needs to change. I feel bad for places that rely on tourism dollars. I'm sure as hell not flying again until this gets fixed!
But you're totally right, the spiral is increasing ever-downward and people just don't seem to be catching on. Blind faith in a broken, corrupt system can only lead to the most bitter of sorrows....
Thats it; terrorists will find ways to blow stuff up regardless of all the security measures! People need to stop flying - until they remove those scanners!
Way to invasive and totally against your rights. Nothing to do with 'safety' really is it? They are causing exactly the tension that they need, they also know that it's only a matter of time before people reject the idea.
Hey Nicole, You said something interesting at 0:59 in this video. "for whatever reason I always get the extra-special searches"
Let me tell you the reason. It's because you're an attractive female. Use Google to find this discussion As his daughter approached the detector, the TSO working the NoS said on his headset, heads up, got a cutie for you
@MarkWarlock YOU IGNORANT SLAVE watch the documentary called INVISIBLE EMPIRE then delete your comments, i cant believe how dumb americans are, your going to bring the rest of the world down with you, stop being a laundry boy!
Call your congressional representaives and senators and tell them to get control of TSA. Protest at the airport. Airports are owned by the cities, NOT TSA OR HOMELAND SECURITY.
People are idiots. Flying on a plane is a privilege NOT a right. If you want to fly you go through all the crap. If not... then drive! Did we all forget already about the 4 planes that were lost on 9-11? Pull your heads out of your ass, get off your self-righteous bull shit and deal with it. You don't like the pat down then use the scanner.. you don't like the scanner then DON't FLY! Ya bunch of over entitled dumbasses.
@snowbigdeal08 Lets be realistic here. NO one anywhere is truely safe from anything. but if a pat down or a scan help to keep some brainwashed idiot from doing something to a plane i'm on, well I'm all for it. I've been through the scanners and its no big deal. You're in and out and on your way. I'm sick of all these over entitled whiners that think they shouldn't have to follow rules because they have rights. Well flying on a plane is NOT a right.. it is a privilege.
@MarkWarlock Using foul language & hurling insults at other people is just creepy. Please wash out your mouth with soap, then come back & express your fears about travel in a civilized way, just like Nicole expressed herself politely.
@MarkWarlock the only dumbass here is you. This is a total invasion of our personal and civil rights. It is completely unnecessary and useless.
You say if you refuse to go through the scanners and the pat downs we shouldn't fly. How about those who are required to fly? Pilots, flight attendants, those how have to frequently travel for work, those who have to fly to transfer hospitals to get proper medical care. Think before you speak, so you won't come off as such a...dumbass.
I am a commercial pilot. We disagree 100% with the TSA. too bad too many pilot fear loosing their job. Glad I am based in Europe and do not have to go through this crap. And yes, I am a US Citizen and I carry FAA Pilot Certificates.
So as not to "profile" the obvious importers of terrorism, you civil liberties are now subservient to those people, as well as the machinations of the latest federal fiefdom. My grandfather told me of travel restrictions imposed during WW2, but that period was finite. This new apparatus will never go away, and will only expand.
Is this where people draw the line? Or is this just the beginning? Once you wake up to tyranny you don't go back to sleep. So good morning everyone! The checkpoints at the Airport are only about SLAVE TRAINING not about safety (Not News) ... "They" (meaning: The Hierarchy Enslaving You) are test running these programs at the airport then move them to other places like Libraries, Hospitals, the Malls, the DMV... etc. etc. etc. Ask yourself, is that the kind of world you want to live in???????????
Hi everyone, thanks for all of the wonderful comments. I have made a cry out to the Jet Blue CEO and CFO (Daivid Barger and Ed Barnes). You can see my new video under my profile
But I encourage all of you to contact the heads of these corporations. They are the ones with real power to push against the gov't.
I am airline crew, and to make us go thru the scanner everytime we go to work is exposing us to radiation more than the average flyer. We are already exposed to solar radiation flying daily. !!!!
When I heard about the pilot not wanting to do the pat down I thought it was odd based upon the many times i have gone through the OLD pat down. I fly every other week. I am concerned about the next time I fly with my family. There is no way in hell someone is going to touch my kids the way they touched me. I am not modest. I am not prudish. But I can tell you that arrested subjects go through less intense "hand work".
Thank you!, you are absolutely right, We need more NON Lemmings NON Sheep like Michael Roberts to stand up against this Outrageous and blatant violation of everyone's rights. If you want to get strip searched and be seen naked that's fine, Run through the airport naked. But if I decide that is not my choice the government should stand behind me and support my decision to be an American, or just a free thinking human being. Thank you Micheal Roberts and thank you snowbigdeal for making this post.
@coolerdoncooper thanks! It's been a little-by-little removal of our rights. The feeling of being striped down for just wanting to take a flight...it still makes me sick.
@coolerdoncooper Great interview! He sent it to me in reply of a letter I sent to him. I posted it on the FB group All Facebook Against Full Body Scanners
@CruzMoranValino HUA! thanks for the post. Do you have a form letter people can send to their congress people and airlines? (I'll post it up on my site) If not, message me and let's work out some drafts.
@snowbigdeal08 - unfortunately, I don't think our letters would get used for anything more than kindling in Washington. As Michael and I discussed: the only vote that really matters and really gets Washingtons attention is when you vote with your actions. I'm flying this weekend and if I'm confronted with a body scanner I too plan to opt out of both the scanner and the frisk. Nobody's touching my stuff w/o dinner and a kiss.
@coolerdoncooper That personally won't stop me and I intend on contacting the airlines directly, rinsing and repeating. Let us know how it goes this weekend... let em know flight safety movies don't count as a date either:)
I detest where our political system and government, as a woman I REALLY am upset BUT I would prefer one extra step be taken to insure my safety when I am 35,000 miles up. I wonder if all those people who chose to take control from the hijackers on 9/11 would have wished that this invasive system was set up as their plane crashed? I know their souls are with our Lord God & Creator but I still pray for their families for such a great loss they suffered. Machine/possible terrorist-no brainer.
@andoveroz I understand the intense loss felt by these people but as Americans, what makes us so fantastic are our rights. It doesn't make me "feel" any safer to have a stranger stick their finger between my buttocks before getting on a flight.
Make our intelligence stronger and stop penalizing the public.
The other point is that the xray is a form of strip search. Have you been through one? Check it out I'm not a criminal.why am I being strip searched?
@snowbigdeal08 If you are not a criminal, then why do you object? As long as planes are not crashing I am happy. The body scans use Infrared light I believe, not Xray, either way it is not like a HD color picture of someone without clothes. It is a blurry, black and white image that only shows depth, like the unusual depth of a knife in someones pocket. It is in no way a strip search. If your plane happens to get hijacked, I believe you will be wishing they did this to everyone.
@AnnoyingFlamingo you're incorrect about the what they can see. They are very detailed images...would you want your wife or sister to go through that?
@AnnoyingFlamingo I am not a criminal and I will never be, but I'll tell you why I object: Because I have the right to privacy and I choose who sees me naked or who is going to put a hand on me. That simple. Also, SCANNERS DON'T DETECT ANYTHING HIDDEN IN A BODY CAVITY. So, why are you so enthusiastic about Full Body Scanners? Also, look up the statistics about plane crashing!! Please!!!! (or do you work for the TSA, perhaps??)
@andoveroz ~ Also, Have you thought that terrorists WILL get their way regardless of these machines?? Come on!! Common criminals have managed to conceal drugs in their body cavities and you think terrorists wont??!! You MAY think you're safer 35,000 miles up, but you are NOT. Also, people need to know that there are non-invasive security measures, However, nobody would get rich out of those. The problem is that the government knows that most people won 't realize.
@CruzMoranValino - You can't screen for a persons intent. Although the TSA will tell you that they are working on developing: facial recognition techniques for doing just that. What a crock of shit. Hell they have knives onboard in the galley for the first class passengers to eat with. Ground workers don't get screened like passengers so they could plant weapons onboard. The whole "theater" is a joke.
I work for TSA too and I was given the full body scan twice in my 2 times going on vacation outside the country. They know me and I still get the special treatment of full body scan. We hate doing the full pat down too but somebody got to do it. As of, if you look like a terrorist, Timothy McVeigh do not look like a terrorist and even serve in the U.S military. We do not have rights too in TSA and can only do what was being instructed for us to do. My suggestion: Write to your congressman/woman.
@HaggerdfanI23 so you work for tsa... and they "know you" isn't that a waste of human and fiscal resources then... I would think you would be on a "safe" list, yes? you state McVeigh.... I don't remember him flying a plane... name me one white female who is holds a US passport and is a terrorist.... I'll wait.
@HaggerdfanI23 you're welcome to this opinion but I am being strip searched and I'm not a criminal. I opt for better intelligence and we should stop raping our women electronically.
@snowbigdeal08 Have you seen how many suspicious people work at airports? Anyone who has a job could be payed off to sneak a gun on board an airplane. Airtraffic controllers could purposely give wrong directions, pilots could kill their co-pilot and hijack the plane. Flight attendants could bring a bomb on board. Ground crews could plant things . When I was in Europe, I saw a Muslim security screener let two other Muslim men walk through the exit door, and they got on a flight without screening.
@HaggerdfanI23 ~ Just because the TSA scans a TSA worker doesn't mean that scanning is right. It violates the International Human Rights (which means they are violating YOUR rights, too). Unless you're a suspected terrorist, they should not scan anybody. For more information join the Facebook group: All Facebook Against Full Body Scanners.
@mixityourself I did want to use the "rape" term... to still feel someone hands on you a few hours into the flight is just terrible. I will do anything not to fly again or I'll fly privately.
@snowbigdeal08 - That's right! Both options given to us (pat down or strip search) are sexual abuse. "You need to choose (against your will) you either lift your hands and open your legs (and that's the position you need to be while scanned) so I see you totally naked, or I'll touch every bit of your body." No, thank you. None of these options works for me.
Our govt wants to totally control our lives, and every move we make, not what our founders intended it to do! We have to stop this NOW... By the way you are a cutie!
Those perverts in government will save your naked body in a data base. Now the computer knows who you are just by your silhouette. The information is saved for ever. And maybe if you have a great body the images will show up on line.
If Americans don't start standing up for their rights against the Fascists in government who have violated their Constitutional rights all along, there won't be any rights any longer. Americans are so naive and blase. They know nothing...
