the thing that i hated about this movie is that the batman kept changing.i DO understand that 4 different japanese anime companies worked on that but COME ON!!!! in the beginning he was a plain batman,then an owlman,THEN the dark knight,then the batman,and so on.and the same thing for bruce.at one moment he was a gay anime normal guy,then he was like a military guy,the REAL bruce wayne imo.WTF?

@thejigsawmurdersyou Sure. Well it has a few elements from Nolan's movies. It shows what kids could see Batman as: A Robot, or some bat creature, etc. It explores a bit more on Bruce Wayne's past. It has different styles of animation. Also it features some villains we most likely would never see in Nolan's Batman movies: Killer Croc, Dead Shot. It also somewhat focuses on a few other people in Gotham City.

Is this a Nolanverse Batman movie? Why is it animated? That is not consistent with the first two Nolanverse movies. Batman Begins and the Dark Knight were live action, so someone should explain how it got from live action to animated?

@SeanWheeler100 This is supposed to show what happens between the two movies. It is animated because for one, the six stories rather short. Two, it is not common to make a live action movie that shows what happened between the first two. Three, it wasn't Nolan's idea. Also Nolan like realistic elements, so Killer Croc being in this and having the device that stops bullets wouldn't fit with his films.

The joker started out as a psychotic merciless killer in the original comics, but they made him goofier and less of a psycho killer later on. With the Dark Knight, they basically took him back to his roots.

And this anime compilation featuring Batman was quite a twist. And a darn good one at that. Though I agree that the Joker should have been in this. I could only imagine how he'd look Japanese style. But I would also hope that Mark Hamill would be the Joker's voice in English.

@rAtZ89 It's was for the first short of Gotham Knight. The first short basically was about a group of kids who had seen the Batman, but each of them had a different image of him like half-man, half-bat and even a fat one.

It looks good, but I really honestly miss the OLD Batman series 'look' (i.e. The other Cartoon Batman Movies).

Bruce Wayne used to be hot & Batman looked freakin awesome.
