  • Tuner vs stock

  • power poo. only smoke......junk

  • @bujie2008 lol you retard your talking about a cummins.

  • if your 7.3 is smoking like that STOCK then its not "stock" you probably have different injectors

  • @MrLopez199 well it's good thing there's not a 7.3 in this video!

  • @townsendrj55 Agreed, my 7.3 turns better times than both of those. :) 13.686@96.69

  • @MrLopez199 my 7.3 smokes like crazy with a 80 hp chip

  • un fair big time the 6.4 has a DPF delete so has to have a exhuast and a tune and prob spartan tuned bone stock the 6.7 beats the 6.4 i know i have a 2009 6.4

  • unfair race, one truck has tail gate on and the other is off..

  • the new fords are still junk to me ide rather keep my 364k mile 96 f-350 then buy a new truck

  • @mirlin235 are u stupid ford has more money then chevy dodge and any other car company ford owns a share of them all for just has way to much pride in there powerstroke. Thry could buy out dodge abd take the cummins

  • @FordsAreSick11 really, that's your rant?

  • @FordsAreSick11 your ate up with dumbass dude

  • @Jeffreyrno kid u make no sence look at the sings btw dodge is owned by chrisler ford is the only company that owns everything they have

  • @FordsAreSick11 you are seriously a fucking retard dude, I'v been in the trucking business for a long time and i have never seen anything about Chrysler owning cummins.... cummins is it's own company and btw ford has only owned there own diesels for maybe 2 years now. the 6.7l psd is the only diesel engine ford has personally put out themselves everything else has been from International.. get your facts bitch

  • @FordsAreSick11 and why the fuck are you calling me a kid when your just 16. grow the fuck up dude.

  • i'd rather be cummin than strokin look up 6.4 woes

  • Yea 6.4 exhaust and chip. 6.7 stock put the same mods on the 6.7. Bye bye 6.4 bye bye 7.3 and foshow a Cummings.

  • @tnyikos1 cummings isn't a motor. a cummins is though

  • ford has had their diesels mastered since day one they even gave their cummins to dodge chevy it took them a while i dont care what you say about a 6.0 or 6.4 i know they had the most problems but with head studs, egr delete, oil cooler upgrade, straight pipe, and a tune they are reliable trucks

  • @9312valve what? they never gave the cummins to dodge, cummins is an individual company until 2011 the ford has used the powerstroke made by international at the time it was still made by international harvester until bought out buy case then they turned the powerstroke contract to international navistar yes different companies until after the issues with the egr cooler problems with the 6.0l and several other problems with the 6.4l in 2011 ford tookover making the powerstroke them selves

  • @TroyDevlinHoover look it up FORD USED TO OWN CUMMINS

  • @9312valve I looked it up they dont a never did own cummins they hope to own cummins in the future they hold a large amount of stock in the largly known engine company but they dont own it... yet

  • @9312valve Ford owned shares, but Cummins bought them back, big differnece, and Cummins is about 4 times the size of Ford

I doubt Ford has enough money to buy out Cummins

  • lets trow a 7.3 in there to play

  • we all know that the best trucks are dodges

  • @puppi350 not true ford is best truck cummins is best motor which just happens to be in a dodge. and i own a cummins...lol looking into a 6.4 ford though

  • lol fords not even worth watching the video.

  • American made wins! PESO STROKE Loses haha

  • If both of these boys were stock it would be a different story. I love my 6.4, but that new 6.7 is amazing. They need to tone down the power (from the factory), and get rid of the EPA. I didn't buy mine to race, I got it to last half a million miles.

  • im surprised all i know is mine is a 6.7 and it can pulla tree stump out of the ground with my toe on the pedal haha

  • @omanps3king That 6.4 had a programmer in it. No matter how much I mash my foot in my 6.4 it won't puke black smoke. 6.7 stock is faster. I have seen it (seen my cousins tail lights in his)

  • AMERICA!!

  • power doesn't matter a lot to me, just matters if it gets me from point a to b and cummins does just that im happy enough. no purpose in taking pride in material

  • I like the 7.3. I'm a powerstroke fan a little but not like a freak

  • theres a reason f series trucks have been the best selling trucks for over 30 years

  • powerstroke is where its at. cummins is a great engine but thats the only good thing about the dodge, the front ends and transmissions in dodges heavy duty trucks just crap out way too easily and way too often, Ford gives you the whole package.

  • Funny thing is I just bought a 2011 F-250 and my buddy bought a 2011 Dodge2500 HO, so for a true test we took both to a dyno. And the results speak for themselves:

    F-250 max power: 366.49 max torque 676.79

Dodge 2500 HO max power 338.65, max torque 612.78. Now I'm not partial either way but let's let the numbers speak! BTW both trucks are bone stock with less than 500 miles in either one.

  • @Bradford5462 that damn cummins is so damn slow. I test drove one right of the lot and it had no power. lol. FORD POWER!

  • @Bradford5462 It's the more low-range power that draws people to the Cummins engines. I'm sure that the dyno said your buddy's Dodge made it's peak HP and TQ at lower RPM's. Either way they're both nice trucks.

  • @KLoughreyProductions

Cummins are popular b/c they do the job a diesel truck is made for better than the v-8's ...

  • @yerwrng True that my man

  • @Bradford5462 drop a chain and video it

  • @LELANDsp602944 "dropping a chain" proves nothing but who has better tires and who has the higher hitch point

  • @Bradford5462 your absolutley right but the ford does have 2 more cylinders and the dodge also reaches peak torque at a lower rpm. both good trucks. i think the new fords are ugly tho wich is a shame cuz i like em

  • @Bradford5462 who cares there both great trucks

  • @Bradford5462, Thats funny, it shows how accurate this quarter mile calculator is that I use, if that 6.7 ford weighs around 7000 pounds and at 15.64 seconds(the closest i could get to match) it shows it would take 362 hp..pretty damn close.

  • Powerjoke Is a complete joke, they're crap

  • @Revelation556 its not a powerstroke dumbass. its a scorpion. it is based off of powerstroke though

  • @BADprid3 its a powerstroke lol. Its still named Powerstroke except international didnt produce this one, FORD did.

  • @Revelation556 And youre probably a Chevy sucking ginger who has no life?

  • @Revelation556 The powerstroke kills the Isuzu you drive.

  • @pantiesoup I agree cummins all the way. Dont need 400 hp that's way too much

  • @Revelation556 because 390 is so much less

  • what stock ford blows black smoke like that unless it is chipped

  • The 6.4 was not stock. They are very clean running trucks and that was a ton more smoke then stock.

  • actually the 7.3l can be (tuned) or built up to the nuts and even school the 6.4 in this vid and, also yes 6.0 & 6.4 sucks however the 6.7 (tuned) or built depending on your defintion of the term will put them all to shame given yes its a newer truck with more intricate electronic crap which =more potential for problems. in the end you cant beat a 7.3l in the reliabilty/power ratio, but the new 6.7 will kick all their asses when it comes down to raw power. its to new to truly determine reliabilty

  • If you have something against the 7.3 then i'm sorry but you either know zero about trucks, you are so blinded by your devotion to brand that you are incapable of seeing something for what it is, or both. The 7.3 is one of the best engines ever produced. It's right up there with the 4.0 inline 6 they used to put in wranglers. Certain engines are just badass.

  • ford builds their own shit... the scorpion engine is pure ford...chevy...HAHAHA IS ISUZU! American truck my ass. garbage. dodge... i give props to cummins. but it's still not a chrysler. who files for bankruptcy?! I heard on sean hannidy, that chevy still owes $30,000,000,000+ dollars. 16 bil of that is tax incentives we should have received... not to bail out corporations... how about joe's andyman service that had to go belly up... to hell with chevy(government motors...still) and dodge.

  • @jrstowasser I mean, its cool to have a brand of engine in a brand of truck, Like Mack trucks,I always hear people saying how hard it is to find parts for old mack engine's and everything. Say a dodge with a cummins, Cummins will be around forever there will always be parts, no reason to badtalk all the engines, They all give jobs to americans in some way shape or form. Just Saying

  • @BoeingXtremes . I'm not bashing engine manufactures. just the people they plug their powertrains into... I'll give Ford, Cummins, and Isuzu all the props, not chevy or dodge. what did they do besides supply a chassis? I call them franken-trucks. allison+isuzu+ chevy= step child. cummins and dodge, not so much, Ford and powerstroke...where's the argument?

  • @jrstowasser ...powerstroke motors were internationals for awhile....

  • @yz250303 you are correct. 7.3, 6.blow, and the 6.4. ford felt international was holding out on the power/ performance/ reliability. the point is that... Ford builds their own engines. Hence, the "scorpion" engine...aka 6.7l. If you want it done right, you do it yourself. :)

  • i was rooting for the ford

  • i love the 7.3 and the 6.9 i hated the 6.4 mine blew up in less then 2 months on a 60000 dollar truck but i loved the gas 6.4 in my 76 ford f150 custom

  • @derekyellow2005 your an uneducated know nothing fukktard

  • i have owned 3 7-3 liter powerstrokes i love the motor but i agree they foul glow plugs way to often but its and easy and cheap fix my brother in law has a 6.0 and it is a fuel eating p o s the 7.3 will go a million miles if properly maintained i have a friend that has 7.3 powerstrokes in his delivery vans and one has 500,000 plus on it and runs great and it 4x4 so its that much better and trust me it has been ragged hard since day one

  • @MrStrokerace69 if 7.3 are so good why have u had so many i have had one dodge cummins it still goin hard 600+hp 1250torque and yes only one not three

  • @pantiesoup that would be because i bought a 96 f 250 4x4 regular cab 5 speed and then had a daughter so i sold it and bought a 95 f 250 extended cab 4x4 auto then had another child and needed more room so i sold it and bought a 96 f 350 crew cab 4x4 5 speed not one ever let me down and i also owned 94 dodge 12 valve 2 wd regular cab 5 speed it was a good truck also but i prefer fords simple as that

  • @pantiesoup my family owns 5 ford 7.3's, we also have 8000 acres of farm land and having a lot of trucks is necessary

  • @pantiesoup The 7.3 was replaced because it didnt meet emissions and it would lack power if they would have put all the shit on there. So Ford wanted an Engine yesterday and International threw the 6.0 together and had problems. If Ford could boast out more power from a 7.3 meet emission standards no diesel could compete.

  • @derekyellow2005 You need to replace your glow plug relays. That is where the problems are stemming from with cold starting. If your injectors are going bad it is your fault. I know you probably don't have a first Gen PSD 7.3 in a modern ambulance so that means they are 99 or newer. Those injectors are great, and pose no real problems unless the maintenance is not kept up and it goes over 3k miles on the oil changes. Proper maintenance and a 7.3 PSD will outlive any Duramax.

  • @derekyellow2005 then your glow plugs are shit cause my old mans has had them only replaced once at 177k. His injectors haven't failed. You just got to plug them in at night to warm up the block. Its worked every single winter day for the past 11years and has never failed a start. I don't know where people get these problems from cause my family owns a 1999 7.3l powerstroke and my dad told me he'll never sell it, cause its been such a good truck to him.

  • IM A BIG FAN OF THE 6.4 LITER ITS A AMAZING MOTOR .

  • @MalinGator1986 It has nothing on the 6.7!

  • @markab71 Well thats a opinion. Ive had a 7.3 6.0 and a 6.4 and i love the 6.4 i got now. my buddies 6.7 has been to the shop a few times ... new motor more problems. 6.4 is faster and in my opinion my truck has more power than his 6.7

  • hell ya two kick ass ford trucks going head to head. Ford power!!!

  • @derekyellow2005 thats cause their stock, at least the 6.7 is. I'll give you my opinion then. I think chevy's are the ugliest vehicles ever, and the their are plenty of 7.3l and 6.4l that can run a 1/4 mile just as fast and faster than an ugly chevy. I'd watch what you say cause I've driven a 7.3 and they do not run like shit. They are a beautiful piece of machinery that has proven itself plenty.

  • @kargmeister1337 especially now that the 6.4 has run 9.49 at the 1/4. and the engine is still very new!

  • @mk37mgteboy Yeah the 6.4 has barely scratched the surface and ford comes out with the ultimate 6.7. The stats on it are badass and with that little upgrade that they offer with the purchase of one your pushing over 400hp and 850lb/ft. I still love the good old 7.3. The sound of it and the power and everything is like being in heaven.

  • @kargmeister1337 exactly. I have a 7.3 and love it. It may not be as fast as a DMAX. But it will out last ANY DMAX out there

  • @mk37mgteboy yeah, when their stock their not the fastest but they sure as hell pull and I bet if you wanted to you could do a burnout easily cause of how much torque they have. Put a chip in it and you got yourself 100 extra horsepower.

  • @kargmeister1337 proven to suck

  • @pantiesoup oh no. nooooooo

  • @kargmeister1337 i would have to differ, i own a 7.3 and all it does is sit in the drive way and collect rust. i dont know what the big hype is about the 7.3. i drive and pull all my trailers with my cummins way better mpg and power in my cummins.

  • @kargmeister1337 ur a doosh

  • @kargmeister1337 plus those engines can go through an apocalypse and still run lol. I'm not sure about the 6.4's but i know the 7.3's are indestructible pretty much

  • @ogpauly I know right. I got a '95 f150 with a 351W and thing is god. I'm going to get true duals put on hopefully next week. No cats with glasspacks cause I'm cheap and that thing will roar.

  • @kargmeister1337 that beast will be LOUD lol. I heard that getting rid or gutting the cats is what really makes the noise. How big piping are you gunna run?

  • @ogpauly either 2 1/4 or 3 1/4, don't know which is better cause I want more performance rather than restriction of the exhaust. The manefoulds are 2 1/4 I'm sure so its probably best to go with that. Either way it will be fine. Right now I got 1 cat and no muffler and it barrely as loud as a guy a work whos got a 300 6 with dual glasspacks.

  • @kargmeister1337 yeah it's probably best to run 2.25, i'm gunna guess more backpressure for the turbo? lol which i think is good.

  • @kargmeister1337 not only that but the ring gear in the rear end of the ford is a diff. dimension than the chev ending in the ford being able to tow more.

  • @kargmeister1337 better get a white cane soon cause you're going blind.

  • @Adamz678 now thats not very nice.

  • @kargmeister1337 that 6.4 was def not stock, they dont smoke like that stock.

thats a big chip, and exhaust for sure

  • @jmanwild lol big chi and a exaust hu hes got a egr delete and or dpf delete thats what makes the newer diesels smoke fyi

  • @95egkp no, the chip pouring in fuel before the turbos light is what makes a 6.4 smoke. makes a boatload of torque but hard on the fuel system.

  • @jmanwild i build performance diesels look at my vids i can tell u rite now a chip will pour more fuel in it yes but with the the egr engine gass recirculation reculates the unburnt fuel (smoke) so it gets burned the dpf Diesel Particulate Filter filters the black smoke so if your wanna sit here and tell me im wrong go ahead but do some research before you do check my vids for all you ppl talking shit about 6.0s lets lock it up if u think your cummins with a stacked chip and tune will take it

  • @95egkp I too, work on diesels for a living. EGR is EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, DPF you got right, however no, an EGR will not stop a chipped diesel from smoking. It will get clogged, and cause mechanical issues down the road however.

  • Most chips have an integrated "boost fooler" which sends a false signal to the ecm using the map sensors circuit. It will send a high voltage, tricking the computer into thinking the turbos are producing lots of boost, and the computer sends fuel to match! thats where you get your smoke. Lots of fuel, No boost. This creates lots of torque, but with that, high cylinder pressures. It also creates lots of soot, (unburnt diesel) and clogs up your EGR and DPF

  • @jmanwild i baig to differ i bought a 2005 brand new powerstroke, when we got home play with it a little and it smoke just likr that

  • @jmanwild bs they smoke like that stock easy... at least my 7.3 does

  • @truemudder88 A 7.3 doesn't have a diesel particulate filter like a 6.4 does from the factory. The DPF captures all that black soot and carbon that you see. The only way that a 6.4 will smoke like that is with the DPF removed.

  • @JonnyCrash i didn't know that thanks

  • @truemudder88 then maybe you should get it fixed...

  • @jmanwild it's not broke

  • @jmanwild ya thats not stock the way they did it is illigal on the road those mods are for racing only my dad got the same sutup and that guy in the race is my uncles best freind he loves his truck after he races he has to put back on the old exsust setup so he can drive it o the road and he pusing 500 to 600 hp with that truck

  • @superinventor1 Where in the hell does he live, that the factory exhaust is so important in keeping him out of trouble with the law? I seriously doubt that that is in California. Even here in Cali, if your truck WAS equipped with a DPF, just make sure it and all other emissions equipment are in place when you go in for your opacity test. Other than that, you can "terrorize" the streets all you want. There are still lots of states that aren't in control by air Nazi's.

  • @madtownmadman when i was in Cali i saw a F-250 that blew alot of smoke just speeding up

  • the 6.4L is straightpiped, DPF and EGR delete, and from the looks of it, most likely has a programmer

  • 6.4 is tuned

  • Ford clearly won that battle!

  • Ford VS. Ford!; Who won?

    You decide.: :)

  • no suprise at all

  • thats a scorpion diesel

  • i dont know for sure...but was that 6.4 stock? looked like an aweful lot of black smoke...DPF (by passed?) ...please correct me if im wrong (dont be a prick about it), and also isnt the turbo system totaly different? the 6.4s have a dual turbo deal going and the 6.7s are a single turbo right?

  • @mike338WM, it has the dpf delete, they came with twins. The new 6.7 have a VGT, same concept as the 6.0 turbo. For having 800 ft lbs the new 6.7 seems sluggish in a race, probably the turbo and dpf that hold it back...I still like it....wish they stuck with twins, but I hear the VGTs arnt that bad.

  • the 6.7 is a bad bitch when it comes to towing

  • @csisterh bad bitch period! brother has a stock brand new 6.7 and its a quick truck bone stock!

  • @JustJeepin666 Yeah, you are right, I have seen trucks that get like 10-13 mpg before and with a dpf and egr delete can get 23-24 no problem. I would like to see what adding a gear vendors overdrive to the 5R110 with those mods can do for fuel economy.

  • its all transmission.... 6.4 has only 5 speeds while the 6.7 has 6 speeds. you drag race, you cant win if you have to go through more gears to accelerate. more gears is for towing, not speed.

  • FORD won.

  • @FORDEXCRSNPOWER hahahahaha eso si es poder

  • he was modded wtf haha i though this was stock vs stock

  • the 6.4 rocks i have a 2008 with only the dpf deleted and my truck flyes when step on it. it only does the regeneration prosses only once every one thousand miles and i my mpg is now about 27 at 65 mph on hiway with a/c off excelent truck all around

  • @MrIvanpita1964 27mpg says your dash... the 6.4 had the worse gas milage out of all the ford diesels.... even over the 6litre

  • @Built4ford worse mileage of ANY diesel. PERIOD

  • @Built4ford we have a 2008 6.4 that gets 24 mpg on a daily basis. Its really a hit and miss with trucks. dodge gmc and ford...they all have lemons and people make a bad example of them any chance they get. friends 6.0 gets 19 mpg and it has egr delete and straight pipe. Used to have a 2009 dodge 5500 and it got 13 mpg with out a load and with a trailer hooked up it got 8 mpg, and other guys with the same trucks said they were getting like 17 - 20 with there's...really a hit or miss

  • @BeforeTheUnseen I have a 2009 6.4l and i get about 13mpg around town but i live in idaho where its flat no hills

  • @SchuCrew69 that not horrible, ours gets around 22 -24 highway and 15-17 in town. But it also is maintained religiously. conditioner, oil changes and basic maintenance very often.

  • @MrIvanpita1964 you did the dpf delete but it still does the regen.....um.... get your money back because your engine cannot regen if there is no dpf... if it is start saving for a new engine, then call spartan diesel tech...

  • @MrIvanpita1964 hah thats what ur computer says, ur not getting near that guaranteed. unless ur driving a ford with a 5.9 cummins or 6.6 duramax

  • @seifs4 i have done the math... my dash is 5 mpg off on a long trip saying 26 usually

  • @RobertAldridgeII Ya, you can never trust those damn computers.....theres just somethings that people can still do better themselves. They need to fix that in all trucks, it would be nice if the computer could have only 5% error!

  • @MrIvanpita1964 yeah those later 6.4s did get better om the mileage.....

  • And actually the fastest tune only was mike corsilli with erics x race in a crew cab and stock tires at 12.64...

  • Hey!!!!!!!! Thats my 6.4 lol. That 6.7 is stock, and my 6.4 has intake, exhaust and a tune. The 6.7 has 3.55s and the 6.4 has 3.73s. I had a god awful launch there (2.1 60'). The truck ran 13.6 at higher altitude with more weight and a 1.8 60'.

  • I love watching these tanks blast down the track like that. :-)

  • also be nice to compare gear ratios/tire sizes. The 6.7 tuning is pretty basic....slim gains as compared to 6.4 tuning where you can plug in a spartan tuner and add another 200+ hp. With other modifications of course.

  • @rammertide07

You can add over 300 hp with no other mods with tuning only.

The fastest tune only 6.4 ran 12.70's with stock intake, exhaust. All it had was a delete pipe and Innovatives extreme race tune (325 hp over stock) and that was on 37" tires.

  • Don't suppose you have any details as to the tuning of the 6.7, appears stock. I know tuning is just starting to come out for it.
