@kockgunner Why doesn't it make sense? Strokes generally do affect language. People with strokes or similar brain injury get damage to the way they speak and their language too. It's not a real foreign accent. The phonemes of her speech have become distorted and disjointed, so people think it's an accent.

at first i thought it was quite a funny syndrome even as a doctor to be. but as her talked about her story i just started to patronise her. not being able to call her children's names correctly, not being able to be understood easily.. she was asked of how she felt after listening to what she used to do for the radio station, she could only spit out, "sad...sad.."
