  • Genialne gitarowe solo

  • I'm not a big Mike Oldfield fan but I really like this song a lot.

  • For some reason this song sounds like a Styx song, I can easily picture Styx doing this song

  • Who was the only one unliker?! Burn him... :-D

  • double check..I think Max Bacon is the vocalist

  • @jaguar7676 he was the vocalist on the US releases, Jim Price done the UK/European, but I do think this is Max Bacon singing.

  • @jeremykyleftw That is correct - Price on the European record, Bacon on the US record and in the video (and our cover art for the Islands album was different from the European release as well). I like Bacon's voice much better, but I preferred the European album cover art. ^_^

  • @DallasHammster I agree. Max Bacon has a good voice, ashame he didn't get enough recognition. Owns a pub somewhere in England now.

  • i read somewhere that max bacon sang on the original 1987 version and jim price vocals where added to the 2000 re issue version why i dont know prob something to do with royalties

  • @garymixer That may be true. My cassette version from the 80's is not the same version that I got when I bought the CD some odd years later and it definitely sounds different.

  • Beeeeest video album

  • 0:05 Alfred Hitcotsh? ... Franco?

  • How is it that a voice like this never found its way into a band of its own??? After GTR that is! And where is Max today???? Anyone!!!

  • I believe this was one of the very few singles Mike Oldfield ever officially released in the U.S. The ones I can think of are Tubular Bells (obviously), Portsmouth, Family Man, Magic Touch and The Bell.

  • If Max Bacon's voice sounds familiar, that's because he was the vocalist for the 2 guitar rock band band GTR with the double Steve's. Steve Howe & Steve Hackett.

  • The vocals on the UK / European version of Islands were performed by Jim Price, and can also be heard on The Wind Chimes video album.

However, this is the vocal of Max Bacon, from the US version of Islands, and the video released to MTV.

  • Sorry, no, the vocals are by Max Bacon

  • Sorry, but this one does nothing for me!

  • Love and Power is beyond anything else in this world Love this video done so creative

  • ahhh, the sound that only a Fender can produce !

  • Błąd w opisie.

  • Ale wokalistą jest Max Bacon

  • The guitar solo alone is worth the price of admission. Wow!
