For the people that don't see the shadow, watch the slowed down replays @20 secs and 30 secs. You can very clearly see the shadow as it jumps over the rider coming towards the camera.

Also, if you look closer, it is in fact jumping over. You can tell by the shadow that if the deer did NOT jump, it would have t-boned the rear half of the bike.

Like others have said, in the middle of the road, there's too much sunlight to cast much of a shadow. Besides, why the hell would somebody fake this?!

Any 'biker' can tell you just how common this actually is. I lost a very close friend of the family a few years back from this very thing. He, my father, and I used to ride together all the time. It just so happened that his last night was spent with me and my family having a nice home cooked meal of his favorite dinner as payment for some favor he had done.

The next day I found out he had been hit by a deer on his way home. I was the last person he talked to. That was not a good summer.

@Ambiduros This doesn't takes skills. There are editing programs that practically does it for you. I see tons of half baked videos on Youtube with decent editing due to some good programs a person can find almost anywhere. I went to a film festical at my high school years ago. Even some of my friends who entered admitted they didn't actually work on it despite the somewhat decent quality. So really video editing takes hardly any skill if you have a decent program on your computer.

shadows are usually never right underneath the person/creature different spots depending where the sun is, the deer didn't even have full height it was just starting its jump therefore never jumped over the biker
