Guys, consider that factories will decide 2011 champion, Stoner, Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedroza has the skills but it won't be enough..., technology has final word now. Bikes are supremely developed. (mainly Japaneses) order will be: Stoner Lorenzo and Pedroza. By the way, I admire Vale too but Ducatti still needs one year listening to him in order to finally set properly the bike.
@whatchutalkingbout Hello, this means free practice 1, 2 and 3, they are 45 min in length with the qualifying session being the full hour. FP1 now takes place on thursday, FP2+3 on Friday, Qualifying on Saturday and finally the race on sunday. In the free practice sessions the riders work on setting up the bikes for the best performance for qualifying and finally the race. Hope that helps! enjoy the racing.
I think Stoner realistically has the best shot at the 2011 MotoGP title, though I think people seem to be counting out Lorenzo. If Yamaha can provide the extra HP to Jorge, it is trouble for Casey and Dani. We all know Lorenzo is super consistent and fast, if Stoner bins it, he is in the hunt. As for Rossi, well I think this year he will be happy to be in TOP 5, but 2012 is a different story, HE WILL BE BACK! 1000CC! Enjoy the season!

I think those seven CRAZY riders would dominate the race this season, but I have a feeling that the most battle will be JORGE LORENZO vs. CASEY STONER!!!
are any of you idiots forgetting when stoner won on the ducati, not only was it a new prototype at the time that was destroying every other bike on the straights, but more importantly he was on bridgestones while all the other good riders were on michelins, in 2008 rossi switched to bridgestones and crushed him, now in 2011 the other bikes have caught up and the ducati doesnt have the grunt anymore, spies yamaha passed rossi on the straight at one point, the tyres won it for stoner in 07.
The twin motor of the Honda develops more power out of corners than the Yamaha on a track at that level, Stoner should have a dream season. Next year when Lorenzo and Spies get thier 1000 cc back Yamaha will continue to dominate Moto GP. Yamaha has always been at the forefront of technology. They are the one everyone else is trying to beat.
Honda has not had a championship since 2003, they have 3 top riders on the factory team, and 2 to block for Stoner. Yamaha is killing Honda in sales globally, hence the 6 bikes on the track. Yamaha is the best handling bike, it needs more power it will not be an issue next year once back at 1000 cc. Ducati has a long way to go to compete with the Jap bikes, but if anybody can develop this machine its Rossi. Rossi will always have health issues, and expect a few more crashes on a Ducati.
If anyone can do it then Rossi can. As we all know,, qualifying is totally different to racing and in that department,, I.E. going faster than everyone alse,, Rossi is the man. It will be very exciting this year ,,very difficult but Rossi top 3 at the end of 2011.

Casey Stoner will be 2011 world champion for sure. He is one of the best riders out there and with the Honda being so easy to ride, i cant see anyone beating him. After todays qualification it's gonna be a bloody exciting year. It would be great to see Stoner take the 2011 title on that rocket Honda. But I reckon Burgess and Rossi are gonna nut out the dramas in that Ducati fairly quick

I am a student at UCSB. I love bikes. I just bought my second bike, a 2010 R6. Buying two spankin tickets to Laguna Seca... should I take my dad, or my buddy...hmm.
Stoner will be the strongest force to be reckoned with this year. VR will attack and surprise on race day. Pedrosa will excite every now and then. JL will not be as dominate this year. Spies will upset the balance within the alien circle.
Man I love me some Yamaha's but that new # 1 (JL) looks bad. Gotta hope Spies has a good year. Hope the best for Rossi too. Gonna be a bitter sweet season for me I think.

On the good news, if you watched the practice Rossi was 5th ahead of Lorenzo but Honda have a perfect bike, wich is why i think stoner will win because he has been fastest all winter.

The practice was aweosme! Stoner pushed it hard to finish 1st and also great one for Rossi in 5th. Not very good but it is a good result too :D

Stoner will be the strongest force to be reckoned with this year. VR will attack and surprise on race day. Pedrosa will excite every now and then. JL will not be as dominate this year. Spies will upset the balance within the alien circle.

Man I love me some Yamaha's but that new # 1 (JL) looks bad. Gotta hope Spies has a good year. Hope the best for Rossi too. Gonna be a bitter sweet season for me I think.

@No1Juggernaut If Rossi's such a god, then why doesn't he fix his shoulder himself? As much as I like the guy, there's one thing that has turned me off him a little & that is one-eyed fanatics that seem to think that he is the only one out there racing & no-one else deserves to win & they NEVER give credit when it is due to anyone else. Get use to the fact that Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Spies & Dovi etc are going to make this season hell for Rossi. If he does win, then show a little humility

@wkmitchell why are you such a bitch is the real question , rossi deserves all the fans he has some may be more educated than others about the history of the sport and what to expect in the future from a rider that has past his peak but is still a great rider at 31. I beleive if rossi didnt join yamaha in 2004 lorenzo wouldnt even be at yamaha as they wouldnt be able to offer a bike to win the world title and would be down there in the suzuki class of moto gp -Dont stop giving rossi he deserves

Why call me a bitch when you clearly don't understand what I am saying. Rossi is the best of the modern day riders without a doubt. I am saying many of his one-eyed fans are the ones who give him a bad name. Rossi himself deserves all the credit he gets. But just remember, he is only human, not a god. That was my point. If you watched practice everboy was saying Rossi should get 11th-8th practice position and he got a 5th, wich is ahead of Lorenzo.
The first time he moved to yamaha the bike was shit, and he won the fist race.

@moto46 If you look closey it is JL and anyway, lorenzo will loose it this year, he only won because Rossi was injured, and don't forget that rossi developed the M1 into a perfect bike, now he has gone Lorenzo will have to develop a new bike and he wont win,
On the good news, if you watched the practice Rossi was 5th ahead of Lorenzo but Honda have a perfect bike, wich is why i think stoner will win because he has been fastest all winter.

@moto46 It was abit dissapointing today with Rossi 7th, he was 2nd in the first corner buy he lost it all.
Rossi will be back and winning halfway through the season, Jerry Burges is a top mechanic and he will sort out the Ducati, all we need is Rossi to recover from his shoulder.
