I think the term 'addiction' gets overapplied. To generalize this as 'technology' is completely ridiculous. It's more apt to specify very thing.
Very sensible analysis, because clearly anxiety frequently occurs as part of socializing, just as equally within conversation as within texting. I think it's more about the manner of communications than the medium.
