Why should the US import poor people because they are clean, decent hard working, family oriented, God fearing, while we only deport the criminals? It is a Lose, Lose.
We are effectively draining the brain trust from Mexico, et.al., while filling Mexico with hazardous waste, with nobody to clean up the mess.
Proud Mexicans should proudly return to Mexico to fix the problems that motivated their exodus to the USA.

there are more than the ideal number of immigrants in The United States of America. many of them are here without legal documentation and as a nation we have been unwilling to expend the resources to correct that situation. when people in the Southwest speak of illegal immigrants they mean Mexicans. the long-term solution is to help our friends in Mexico to grow their middle class. when that happens, fewer persons will feel compelled to come to our country to seek a better life.

ICE budget for 2010 is $5.74 billion. of that, the office of Detention and Removal Operations is budgeted for $2.55 billion. in addition, $100 million is budgeted to the Southwest Border Enforcement Initiative.ok, so this is a lot of money, but apparently still not enough to satisfy certain peoples' expectations of border enforcement.
the question is, how much are we willing to spend to enforce our immigration laws? would you support a tax increase?
@jody25able again, the question is: in addition to the efforts already being made (which apparently are inadequate) would you favor paying more for immigration law enforcement? any additional effort would obviously involve spending more money, should we pay higher taxes? or should we shift money from another agency's budget? which agency and how much?
