Yeah hes doing 2 things.

Step 1: light painting done with an DSLR with a slows shutter speed. Probably took close to 6000 images to do this completely.

Step 2: Shoot a video with the motions that you would use at regular speed. Then overlay the images over the video and you got your self video light writing with out cheating in after effects....

Hint to look for:

Notice how when he is writing his movements are smooth but the light it self looks to be jerky. :)

yeah, I take photography and some parts of this video are real and some are not. When their sribling random stuff that's real but the end product is not. There is no way that you can make a complete picture like that lines overlapping with a light because from the naked eye nothing is there. so to retrace and make perfect circle, overlap it again, and do the same with letters is impossible.

only way I can see is to have it already on some glass with something((not quite sure what)) before the video and then they trace over it. That's the only thing I could think of to make this real

Major tracking, After Effects, but the hard

part was keeping them to trace the same area over again, which was clear plexy glass with small grease pencil lines on where to trace. This was my first attempt

at this and want to try it on a larger scale

with more accuracy.

this was fake i could tell but the real way you do this is slow down your shutter speed and get in a dark room with an led light and draw a picture

um, well see if you just draw in the air with an led light all its going to do is nothing, you wont see anything but one light not a drawing, you need a camera to see what you have drawn cus it saves the movement when you slow down the speed at which your camera takes a picture

That is only one way of choosing a medium. and I believe that this is one way of using different medium.

Using AE and computer is not act of fakeing. that how i think.
