  • volim te, Robi.

  • The song is from the opera "La Bohème" and its called "O Soave Fanciulla"

  • amazing.

  • .. very sad, but realistic, though it really could have been worse -- hitler had a secret passion for england, and so he let them get away at dunkirk only with a little kick in the ass. if he wanted, he could have slaughtered them utterly, it was all at his will what happened there. but he still hoped for agreement at this time. this great book shows the atrocity of war very intensly and touchingly!!!(i loved his mates, when they made fun of Rob--"looks, he´s seen another crumpet again!!")

  • He had hoped for an agreement because he wanted to direct all his attention toward the Soviets, who he wanted to eliminate for a long time, and who he knew would be the most difficult to defeat.

  • I LOVE THIS! They belong together... This movie is so sad. I cried at the end when you get to hear the "truth" about what happened. So sad.

  • Estoy leyendo el libro y la verdad es que la pelicula es su reflejo.EXCELENTE

  • wait..what does he kiss?

  • The word missing from the clip is her 'cunt.' It was removed from this clip which was released online before the movie itself was released to theaters, but it's very much so in tact in the film.

  • This is performed by Jussi Björling, Victoria de los Angeles and The RCA Victor Orchestra

  • good video!

  • omg me to!! i love his face.... he's just PERFECT

  • I love james.. so mad when briony went and screwed it all up, him adn keira look good together

  • yeah this is a great scene. it's hilarious how he gives the wrong letter to brione lol

  • WTF where's the cunt part??

that's the only reason i watched this clip!

  • This was a promotional clip that was released *before* the movie came out anywhere, so the cunt part must've been edited out.

  • she's such a good actress.

and this is a great movie.

  • I <3 this movie. the first time i saw it was with my aunt and seven year old cousin. it was very very... um... interesting :D:D

  • I thought that letter was so freaking hott...Just reading it would make me feel complete ecstasy ...especially if james mcavoy wrote it...

  • lol I thought the same exact thing! I have a thing for guys with an accent, so imagine ;)

  • This always reminds me of a perfume advert.

It would, of course, be the best perfume advertisement in the world with such an exquisite combination music and images. Keira Knightley really is astonishingly beautiful.

  • omg. :o

Oops. i writed it in the google translater. lol.embarrassing.embarrassing.haha

  • Cunt means chatte in english, basically.

  • If I got either letter,

i would have been in love.

  • this is my favourite comment on you tube

  • my comment is your fave? why, thank you.

  • Marianelli's scores always amaze me (specifically his 2 with Joe Wright), but the use of this aria in this scene-- and in this movie was brilliant and completely moving. I think that even if you don't know the story of La Boheme, your emotions will be affected. For me though, having read the book and also being familiar with the opera, it was a highly emotional scene with the combination of the two together-- knowing what happens to both pairs of doomed lovers only magnifies the tragedy.

  • La Bohème, O Soave Fanciulla.

  • Does anyone know what the opera piece being played is called and who sings it?!

  • O soave fancuilla from La boheme like Atelbie said. I am pretty sure the wonderful singers on this particular recording are Renata Tebaldi and Jussi Bjoerling. Recorded around 1956 which yes I know is after the movie takes place. Whoops! You can't slip anything past some people. I still adore the movie anyway!

  • is this da edited version

  • One of the most beautiful scenes in the whole film. Gorgeous.

  • ha

    ha

    love

    this

    scene

    funny

  • why?

  • because when he just writes the letter...then lauggs..

  • James is a brilliant face for the screen.

  • Yes very...He just knows how to take a character and make him believable. I admire actors like that. He's so funny when he writes the letter...even though it is his demise.

  • i love this song so much

  • Do you by any chance know what that piece is called?!

  • no... but i'm going to find out!

  • I FOUND OUT WHAT IT IS!

    It's in my favourites

Can't remember exactly what it's calle

but, it's something like o suavo fulliciano?

    Something along those lines.
