Brings back memories of sitting around in the dorm at HHA picking the guitar and singing this song.( Remember Betsy ? ) Not to often does a gospel song go gold on pop charts...not often enough sadly. I love it.
When I was in kindergarten (1976-77 school year) our gym teacher, Mr. Keller, would put this record on and tell us to twirl hula hoops to it. We laughed and called him a nerd and threw our hula hoops at him.
awesome!!! Ocean was great, gone are the days where Jesus Christ is praised on the secular radio stations and tvs, what happen to our great country? this should be the music our youth should be playing. great post.
to think this song came out the year i was born

I want the striped suit the man is wearing. I'm going to call the Men's Warehouse now before they are sold out.

It is always good when a group has multiple vocalists. That concept seems to have peaked in the 1960s and 1970s.

I had this 45 when it was new. Wow the memories. The real one hit wonder is where that 45 is now. Thanks for posting this

Acoustic guitar - Dave Tamblyn from London Ontario

I believe that the guy playing acoustic guitar...is a guy by the name of Jeff Jones...
Who...back in 1968..was one of the founding members of the band......RUSH...
Yep...that RUSH..
He left them and of course Geddy came in...
Jeff Jones also went on, in the 80's to team up with Tom Cochran in the band Red Rider...(Lunatic Fringe)...
There's your trivia for the day.....
