  • And then came kids. With their tools of labelling. And thus, the descendants of Meshuggah become known as "Djent".

  • Is the audio in this legit live or is it touched up or something? Because Jesus Christ this sounds good.

  • @eviliu They've been around so long that its just this good. But it does depend on venue

  • @eviliu Well, it might be overdubbed. But the DVD-Info does not say anything like this.

  • @Brotstink I just saw them live about two hours ago, believe me this is exactly how they sound live, I cannot flaw them. Seen them three times now and each time they keep upping their game.

Also, "Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion" sounds so damn good live, can't wait for Koloss to come out!

  • 2:36 that one dude just fucked gravity all up in here. honey badger don't care. honey badger loves meshuggah.

  • dam this sounds like an atom being rip apart or the big bang

  • awesome musicians, but i guess im too old for the cookiemonster act. i try to imagine these guys hitting their guitars with maynard james keenan or a real singer on the mic... now that would rock

  • @pannekoeken2 I love TOOL, but maynard with meshuggah would just be silly

  • @aileanwazere I think they could make one song work if it was a collaberation, but thats just me

  • @pannekoeken2 "Real singer"? The fuck? So he's not a vocalist just because he growls? Good god, what's the world coming to?

  • @pannekoeken2 That would not go well together... like hot dogs and pimento cheese. I like tool... that would just sound stupid tho.

  • the closest thing you will find to musical perfection is this. i dont think their bass player gets enough credit. thats a 6 string bass, those strings are fucking thick, to play that quick and that tight pick or not is fucking amazing

  • @boof59 Dick Lovegren gets a lot of credit. Check out his insane jazz playing!

  • My favorite part is when it goes trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt trrt-trt

  • @Chickenbreast97 LOLOLOLOLOL

  • @Chickenbreast97 Whole song so ahahah :)

  • Really, it can't be better !!! Tak !

  • omg this is fucking awesome

  • @darthjarp666 So true you are !!! Hiyepeeeee !!!!

  • this band is a freakin alien organism tryin to get control of your mind :-D. nice

  • HOLY SHIT THE SINGER SOUNDS LIKE JMANN FROM MUSHROOMHEAD

  • What the hell is the point in playing a song life when it sounds 100 % like the studio version?

  • @JetlagAgain The point is getting the music thrown at you at about 120Db instead of listening to the CD on your crappy speaker set. That's the point :)

  • Yeah but then again why would you put it on a DVD release? I guess it's good for people just getting into the band

  • @BrandenburgStudios Now JetlagAgain, try to play it at 120Db at home, your neighbourhood might ask to themselves, "hey honey, was there yet an airport when we just moved into here two days ago ?"

  • @JetlagAgain Because listening to a piece of music live is different from listening in your home.

  • lamb of god

  • @Dsrtpnk28 I used to listen to Lamb of God, then I took a Future Breed Machine to the anus.

  • @Premium1Black you got raped my Meshuggah?

  • @Premium1Black And it's better than so shitty laxative commercial !

  • WOW i think the vocals killed it as hard as the drums in this video. holy fuck i love the way that guy yells at the top of his lungs for the whole fking song.

  • @CrystalTrees5mcs imagine him doing that LIVE for an entire set. epic.

  • Everyone knows that you're supposed to headbang in synch with the tempo of the cymbals. DUHHHHHH lmfao

  • @AlextheMusicMaker117 you're actually supposed to headbang in time with the metronome to keep time...

  • Comment removed

  • Only way to headbang to this is by not playing an instrument, or else you`re fucked.

  • My legs just caved in -__-

  • I am obsessed with these seven and a half minutes - What the hell is that second track they play?

  • @SimonKinland

What second track. It's Bleed as a whole. Aggression - interlude - aggression.

  • @rololoo Ah I see, I got a false impression of the form from a version of the Bleed video.

  • HOW THE FUCK DO HEADBANG TO THIS?! Great band though. Vidunderligt

  • @Valentineskidd Listen to the crash cymbal. It's in 4/4. :-)

  • fucking keen to see them at soundwave

  • This is no more a new metal band then Pantera was. It's just metal.

  • @torerikm lol, man u r just a fail.

  • tripped acid and listened to their cd's....holy fuck.

  • @DANKilller intense....

  • listening to one of their cd's is one thing... seeing them live... beyond worth it

  • herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta-herta

  • @BrenttBarness HAHAH exactly what goes through my head when listening to the opening!

  • Comment removed

  • @BrenttBarness if Meshuggah makes a noise enough times it becomes a genre

  • @Yargasblarg1 true "djent"

  • @Yargasblarg1 ... As long as we don't hate on those who learn from them ...

  • @Yargasblarg1 you act like its a bad thing

  • 4:14 I get the chills every time.

  • I'm pretty much an 80's metal guy ....really don't care much for this new metal but i must admit the guitar rhythm is brutal sounds like huge machinegun fire.

  • @wpmtpm Meshuggah have been around for 20 years or so. I'd hardly call them a "new" band. ;-) Great that you're getting into them though.

  • @wpmtpm Meshuggah isn't that "new" actually. They've played since the mid-80's. Their current style was settled upon around 2002, though, with the release of Nothing and their switch to 8-string-guitars.

  • @wpmtpm ahahah!! "huge machinegun fire" you're right! ;)

  • @wpmtpm This isn't "New Metal", dude. These guys have been playing since the 80s. In fact, their first EP was released in '89.

  • @wpmtpm If brutal is what you're looking for them not exploring new metal is a mistake, it's only become more brutal with time

  • @wpmtpm Meshuggah has been playing since the late 80's .. so yeah?

  • @SixxHundredSixtySixx what are you doing on here Isak?

  • @wpmtpm Meshuggah have been around since 1987.

  • wow guitars sound exactly the same as the album!

  • @Poderface1337 ... and bassists xd

  • @ThePxLsE How could I forget the bassists... shame on me :P I used to play the bass during the time as a teenager. I played in a Ska / Punk Band back in the day :)

  • In this case Dislike = Jealousy

  • The guitar world lesson for this is in related videos. No thanks, I'd still like to be able to have a wank tomorrow.

  • @babywithacrowbar hahahaahahaha

  • =(v_v)=

  • does anybody else see the UFO at 5:10?

  • Fucking deadly precision.

I don't wanna know how many metronome clicks these guys took in their ears before getting so accurate. That's just insane.

    COLOSSAL song.

  • Seeing them March 3rd. It is going to be so amazing.

  • you know what I dont care enough about this topic so I removed my comment. I dont think its worth my time

  • @101DIGITAL010 people are here expressing their enthusiasm for this great music and you suggest in a round about way that these people need to be more informed 'based on the comments' you read...wtf dude...

  • @GagaMan214 I was not referring to those people. I was referring to the ones that act like if this was alien music. Is not is great. They just need to understand music better. you just misunderstood the hole thing to a degree that I just lost interest in the topic so forget it man.

  • @101DIGITAL010 stop tootin ur own horn dude... nobody wants to read it or hear it

  • insane riffing!

  • best live band i have ever seen!!!! from their no amps on stage-direct to the PA AMAZING sound to the absolutely perfect execution of their quite complicated songs. fucking flawless!

  • What a performance!

  • Syncopated music doesn't require a time signature.

  • Playing this live = being God.

  • Very tight for live...almost like studio version

  • What is the time signature of this song

  • @sharmoota120 4/4
