The origin of Attila's name is not known with confidence. Most suggestions assume Turkish roots. In Hungary and in Turkey "Attila" is commonly used as a male first name. In Turkey sometimes the name is spelled with double ll rather than double tt (Atilla).
It seems to me that the Turks were a mixture of Sassinids/Steppe peoples, etc. Therefore, there was probably a connection between the Turks and the Huns. However, to make the claim that they were the same exact people as the medeival Turks seems to be overreaching a bit.
Hun's were only Turk so Atilla was a Turk...Read history and look Chineese Archieves...This Archieves says something about Huns for ex''Hun s were fearlees and dread warriors...Huns came from Central Asia and turks from Central Asia...Acctually Hungary and Turkey are kinsman....Hungary has a bit Hun's blood...acctualy we are brother and foregin but we forgot this...
Streets and Squares of Budapest got the old version, men and boys got the modern. And this is also how the world knows his name.
It's interesting for me, that even so in the movie his first wife had the "old" name: N'Kara. It's modern version is Réka, it's not as popular as Attila but a lot of girls have her name, too.
Yeahh right!!Attila was hungarian just look that Attila is a very common name in Hungary, and just think why was HUNgary if they not belong to the huns??
You use imovie too? Where do you get your clips? I usually got them from Stage6 and it actually sucks 'cause there's hardly anything useful there and it's closed down.
It's very easy and they videos will look gorgeous! :D Mac users are lucky to have iMovie and Final Cut Express. They're both such good programs and give so much more (for the money) compared to Windows video editors.
Follow the instructions on foolishpassion dot org. You will need to buy MPEG-2 Playback $20 plug-in from Apple to get this to work, as well as use a DVD ripper called Mac the Ripper. (Links are on the site.) Or, if you don't want to buy the $20 plug-in (which I really recommend; it's much quicker), you can use handbrake (handbrake dot fr). I have a tutorial for using Handbrake on LiveJournal, my LJ username is sweeney32.
Thank you for you description. I am getting an Apple this week and totally looking forward to making more videos of my son using videos and pictures and music. How do you ger Imovie 6? I wonder if you can still downlod it?
LOL! It's pretty crappy, isn't it? I do better when I start from scratch in Garageband, honest! (I used "Magic Garageband" for this piece.) And you're right—no timeline makes it very frustrating for editing music videos.
You can have both on your computer at once. Apple has set it up so that when you install iLife, all the apps are replaced/upgraded (Garageband, iPhoto, etc) EXCEPT for iMovie. You'll see a folder that says "iMovie (previous version)" right under the iMovie 08 app. Also, you can download a copy of iMovie 6 if you own iMovie 08. No worries. iMovie 6 will still be there! :-)
what kind of thigns did imovie 06 have that 08 doesnt? special effects? and if at first i chose imovie '08, cis the opion still there to switch back to '06
Sorry I didn't get back to answering your question earlier, pjwowyeah123! There are a lot of things that iMovie 08 doesn't have—chapter markers, an ability to gradually lower or raise the audio, video filters, the ability to use plug-ins, and other things. I like iMovie 08 for many things (and heaven knows it's fast, and love the upload-straight-to-YouTube option) but for more editing control, iMovie 6 is still much better.

The other wife's name, Ildiko is also a modern version, her "oldfashioned" name was: Krimhilda.
Sorry for my disturbing, but I thought somebody would take delight in some curiosity. :D Bye!
PS: In my opinion Gerry Butler was a very good Attila! ;-)

Just an interesting thing if you don't mind. :D
Attila is a modern version of Etele.
Streets and Squares of Budapest got the old version, men and boys got the modern. And this is also how the world knows his name.
