Swordmaster...the Army Physical Fitness Test consists of a 2 mile run, push ups and sit ups. How many you are required to do is dependent on your age group. 60% is required to pass. In my age group, I am only required to do 47 situps, 35 push ups and run 2 miles in 18:30...I'm 45 and I can pass my APFT with 51 push ups, 58 situps and I have done my 2 mile in 15:41. I have been through Marine Corps Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego in 1984 when i was 19 and then I went through Army BCT in 2007

Just through Infantry osut in ft. benning you have the chance to be level one combatives certified, a lot of people dont even get that and thats only level one. My story would be that im a Infantry Paratrooper (Airborne) in the 82nd and already been to a combat deployment as a private first class and got promoted while in Afghanistan. Now im a team leader which is an E-5 position in my platoons wpn squad.

Army see's more combat than any Marine. Not talking down on Marines or anything, but the Army is far more intense. That's why Army boot camp is alot longer and harder than the Marine's boot camp

Plus the Marines are always the first ones in and the last ones to leave so how can you say the Army has seen more combat? That means no weekend pass, firewatch every night, no milk and cookies. Straight through entry level training. Cav Scout for instance is 18wks. Not trying to further the pointless argument you all got going on, but facts are fact.

Swordmaster...the Army Physical Fitness Test consists of a 2 mile run, push ups and sit ups. How many you are required to do is dependent on your age group. 60% is required to pass. In my age group, I am only required to do 47 situps, 35 push ups and run 2 miles in 18:30...I'm 45 and I can pass my APFT with 51 push ups, 58 situps and I have done my 2 mile in 15:41. I have been through Marine Corps Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego in 1984 when i was 19 and then I went through Army BCT in 2007

Just through Infantry osut in ft. benning you have the chance to be level one combatives certified, a lot of people dont even get that and thats only level one. My story would be that im a Infantry Paratrooper (Airborne) in the 82nd and already been to a combat deployment as a private first class and got promoted while in Afghanistan. Now im a team leader which is an E-5 position in my platoons wpn squad.

@TheMarineKid17 Actually, 325 from the 82d Airborne Division, US Army initally took fallujah. Then, when they handed it OVER to the marines, the marines were slaughtered in what is described as "one of the most bloodiest battles of the war".
And you do get yelled at during Army basic. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either an uneducated marine, or someone that knows very very little about training troops as per US Army regulation.

im in NJROTC right now and these 2 army recruiter came and PT us and we had to do this for like 30 mins because our platoon wouldnt stay quiet
