@mtlh05 it seems like that is the only way to do it. All the ships have a C on it which means its work cryptic points. If there isnt a way to buy it with in game money then i can see it not doing as well as it should.

@TheOnlyMiclann Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to play this kind of raw, and show gamers how they can earn enough EC for things they need, instead of just being given it. I'll show that its possible to collect lots of loot along the way and build up EC pretty fast.
