I don't think the point is that this was a faked scene. It is obviously fake, it looks like a piece in an advert or drama. The point is that the discourse on the Palestinian side seems to be all about how evil Israel is and how they go around in tanks targeting children. If you believe that then I can't help you.

It is true that there is no proof this is "fabricated." It's a good point, if we're being honest with ourselves.

The real problem is that this video appears to portray two events as connected, yet there is no evidence presented that the situation is real. In the absence of one seamless video showing a child accosted by a tank (within a single continuous recording), they presented spliced together footage.

It is entirely possible they it was intended to be symbolic and not literal.

In any case, in the absence of convincing evidence that the situation portrayed is real, it is inexcusable that Palestinian media would present this video with no elaboration on its contents. It is easy to imagine how spliced together videos like this foster a belief that situations like this actually occur, and moreover are frequent.

I reckon most Pallys watching this know its spliced -its probably taken from some advert for Hamas talking about their "eternal struggle against the Zionist oppressor"- but it serves a purpose to reinforce Hamas' propaganda & prevent any honest discourse within the Arab community.

This is fabricated. If you compare the VERY LONG shadow cast by the tank (early morning or late afternoon) which falls to it's LEFT to the RELATIVELY SHORT shadow of the boy which falls to his RIGHT, they are obviously taken at very different times of the day.

And it most certainly does not look like "war footage" as you would need 3 cameras, 1 tracking the boy, one tracking the tank from the front and one just behind the tank as it fires. Looks pretty staged to me.
