I disagree, this style sounds way better than the soft / quiet renditions found elsewhere here. Its great singing! more emotion in this than in so many other versions. Although, the drum beat does kind of distract you from the singing. I use a visual metronome in concert when I absolutely need one.

Don't belt the whole song out. It will sound MUCH better if most of the song is sung at a level 5-7 and for the power parts go ahead and belt it out at a 10. That way you get some dynamic range in your singing, not just one power note after the next which is less interesting.

Also, loose the drums, it detracts from your singing and doesn't really add anything to the song.

I cannot help but wonder if it is that difficult for you to sing so high, or are you merely unconsciously doing it?

In any case, it is good, in general, but there seems to be something amiss. Perhaps it is the same thing that hinders my own singing. That 'something' that cannot be defined.
