I read the comments on this post. Someone has no appreciation of good music or of how life really is. Barry Biggs like a clown acts. He sped up the song and to me made it a clown song. Blue Magic performed this song like me meditate. Slow, deliberate and timed so that the listener could see it's truth. We meditate life and ponder it's truths. Life is a three ring circus. I think the only reason it looks like they obsessed with the circus is because they hit it big with "Sideshow" as their first hit so when they released their next single after their first huge hit, they wanted it to be similar theme wise so that the millions of people who bought the first one would buy "Three Ring Circus". This was called a "follow up single" and was pretty standard for bands who wanted to avoid becoming a 1 hit wonder. Lesley gore had "It's my party" and then had "Judy's turn"
