I have been looking for streach floss and all I can find is a Uni brand Nylon streach floss. Is this the same as you use if not would it do the same effect as yours?
I have never used the streach floss that you are looking at, the flosses that I have used are the Uni-Floss and the Uni-Flexx which is the one that you may be looking for...
This pattern worked extremely well today as i was catching nothing until i changed to a dry fly with this buzzer coming of the dry fly 12" below it and bang 7 rainbow about 2lb in the matter of 15 min :)
Davie, Many Thanks for sharing your flies and tecniques with us all, I have been following you on u tube for two years almost and three weeks ago I was talking to Frank Moors from Cheshire at a fly tying class at which he was demonstrating as far as I am concerned you are two of the Best, Please keep them coming and please consider doing a video series of the neo classics that you tie I know a few people that would buy a copy.
Davie, used this on the lake yesterday when all else failed. Had 3 and lost 2 to it and my boat partner had 1 to it. It turned an OK day into a good day. What made it more satisfying was that I tied it myself, from this video which inspired me to start tying only a couple of months ago. You make it look so easy.
Davie great looking fly If you ever get a chance to make it over to British Columbia I would love to meet up and spend a day on the water Mike Mitchell
The main varnish I'm using just now is made by Veniards, sometimes though I use Loctite Easy Brush Superglue as my first coat then two coats of the Veniards to finish it off..
Davie, thank you for all your videos.

I use 3 coats of Sally Hansens to finish off.

Lovely tying as usual, Dave.
Can I ask what make of varnish you use to finish your buzzer bodies & heads?

Thanks Dave.
I use Veniards as well, but your varnish somehow looked slightly thicker than the stuff I use.
