i went diving twice so far for the final "exams" of my scuba diving class. The first was in a freezing lake where I didn't see anything and couldn't go on the second dive (2 dives in each area) because my feet and hands were numb, and then I couldn't take off my wetsuit so i was just sitting there freezing. The second dive at the ocean was nice (kind of cold, not much) and i even saw a flounder, which my dad tried to catch by grabbing its tail, but it ran away when he touched it. It was cool :)
Ive always wanted to out there and do this I found a seal pup on the beach last year poor thing was exhausted at odiorne point or however you spell it this looks so fun!
that must of been exiting the seals are awsome but yes sharks feed on them but i would not be to worried my self i cant wait to go scuba dive their it looks very fun
I respect sharks, but am not too worried about them. If I did see one of the aggressive ones like a white, bull or tiger, I would leave the water. I did dive with sharks in Australia a few months back, but not great whites, just grays & white tip reef sharks. That was cool,
@aramisun Cool, I went diving in Mexico this past summer (around Cabo San Lucas) and saw a HUGE school of hammerheads. It was amazing. Our guide turned around and was motioning back and forth. As I caught up to him, I saw a cloud in the distance. Then it came into better focus and it was hammerheads as far you could see either direction. He said 500-1000. I think 300 is a little more realistic. Also been with Nurse and Black Tip Reef in Grand Cayman
Well done. What depth? Any currents? I had no idea kelp looked so colorful.
Most of my 20 yrs of diving was at Cathedral Rocks, Rockport, Mass. I have unreal moments there, both great diving (schools of fish; eels; lobsters) and the scariest moment ever. Upon surfacing, 100% fogged in, barely found my diving partner and the shore. Terrifying !!
15 to 20 feet.. lots of light for the colors to show up. No current, but plenty of surge creating the 'waving'. The colors are probably pumped up a bit by the postprocessing but they were beautiful.
Fogged in.. now that's when that AOW Navigation course comes in handy!

I'm pretty sure it was.
It was a fun place to dive. Very relaxing.

Correct.. It is Duck Island and yes, it is in Maine, but just barely :)
I never knew we had crossed the border, but I guess we did.
Good catch.
