I'm British, so lemme set this straight.

When I watch any channel provided by the BBC, I only see commercials endorsed by the BBC. But in America, they cannot solicit money from the UK. Therefore, they cannot use the commercials in the UK. THEREFORE, they must use there own. Such as this, or breakfillers.

The BBC is free from the government as stated in its royal charter. The government is not allowed to take over the running or force them to do anything they want.

Yeah, because it's american and unlike in the UK, the British government cant just give money to it overseas, American law says it cant take money from the UK, so BBC: America has to make its own money through advertising in the states.
