4:12 believe me sven it is the cheapest actual HA protocol i have 2 lamp modules and 1 cm15pro we have 4 consumer units wired in this way house 1&2 are connected directly to the supply unit2>to garage unit>summer house unitthe signals will NOT travel between the units atall!
evan on the same unit its press & pray for me ! thats why im going z-wave!
i spent £100 of my pocket money (im 13 (12 at the time) just to find it was aloada shizzle! uk automation wouldent take any thing back!!
X10 is not as reliable as other similar technologies, but costs much less. It's been around since the 50s with many product suppliers. When set up right, it's as good as anything else. My 5200 sq ft home has run on X10 for many years, and work perfect. From miles away I can hit one button on my iPhone, that starts my pool pump, switches the valves to spa, turns on the heater, and 20 minutes later automatically turns on the light, so I can walk in and hop in. The uses are endless.
Svenny boy, you've tickled my fancy once too often this time, i had to struggle hard to put my credit-card back in my wallet over this one....soooo tempting!!
I have a trade account with said company. So I can probably save a friend a large percentage. However being out "there" surely you've got a wealth of gadgets?
Thats the problem, too many things on offer here, almost anything electric for sale has its own street here, rc model steet, computer street, robot street, sex toy street, dried fish street etc etc, its strange here how this evolved, similar shops here bunch together. In alot of western places thats a no no, just a different culture thingy....... Anyway to the point, too much choice to choose, imagine being in aladins cave, but you forgot your backpack!!
P.S Just thought , why cant houses have a 'one ' wire system like my BMW bike ? With your mind you could develop some thing....just let me know when its ready!!
Very,Very neat! One of my clients had a system recently and there are 3 vertical freezer size control units;it does absolutely everything..but the wiring harnesses are 75/100 dia. How in yr system are lights controlled that don't have a bayonet?
Wow such a fast response, almost response automation!! The little boxes sound ingenious are they small ,can they go in the ceiling space or behind switches ?....I know ... I'd better speak to your man !!!
Yep. I have them behind standard light fittings and ceiling fittings. You might need an electrician. I don't touch electrics, so I had a friend fit them.
ive seen a similar system to this but with linux MCE you can program anything on it and make your home into a smart home similar to this but i think linux one is more expensive but you can do more with it
and also, you say you can do this from anywhere in the world, why would you need to turn your lights on if you arent there??

Use the LCARS from Star Trek. That would look rather cool and future looking.

Most of my lights aren't bayonet. It's just a small box you install between the light and the circuit.

Umm where do you see the fire hazard? I see LESS of one. If things aren't on....There's no extra heat generated...
