  • in the tiberian dawn redux mod for zero hour you can use them, they are really awesome!

  • I never quite understood why the actual Tiberian Sun had absolutely nothing to do with this preview.

  • @LJVolkov21 originally a fps

  • I remember this from like 15 years ago as if it was yesterday.

  • @mrcreedy

Yep the Doom sound of the imps was a camel and you hear that sometimes. And sometimes you hear some of the infantry death sounds from the original C&C in TV shows.

  • the original cnc3 ideas by westwod were better than today's cnc3

  • to me personally tibearian sun and firestorm are the king of rts's jsut because of the variety it offers and the complexity of challenges ud eb faced with

  • this unit is GDI's Wolverine, only it doesnt shoot like this in the game :(

  • @nickelback052893

No, its a prototype walker, from well before TS

I think it said its called the X-O

Just a prototype, testing effectiveness of mechs

  • "Credit to Westwood Studios (eaten up by EA) for great games and Frank Klepacki for his incredible music." <<<--- I think i couldnt have described it better! Thumbs up!

  • The walker is in Tiberian Dawn Redux mod :D

  • A titan protoype rather than a wolverine prototype, coz it has a lazer methinks...

Awesome old graphics lol, state of the art!

  • lol 0:53 doom 95

  • Yeah this is a prototype of GDI's research into mechs. Its well after the war, but Nod obviously tried to sabotage the research as you saw.

Again, this is well after the war, but well before TS, judging by the sky.

  • Yeah, well those games probably used sounds all from the same stock library

  • yeah, the amount of times i've heard that laser sound beggars belief lol

  • I'm sure this also can be seen in the trailer package...

  • i think that walker is called an XO-1

  • Seems to be the prototype of the wolverine & titan mechs.

  • anybody know the name of the song?

  • Mechanical Man

  • thank you!

  • this made me wait 8 fuckn years

  • LOL WUT? Tiberian Sun came out in 1999 = 4 years after Tiberian Dawn which came out in 1995.

  • i always considered it the precusor to the wolverine.

  • if only it kept the laser, but that would make it too op.

  • yeah i seems like that, it looks like a C&C 3 wolverine (the uncool ones) the tiberian sun wolverine seems to have a smaller cockpit

  • I think this unit is linked to the Mobius Power Suit in C&C Renegade (C&C1) and the Zone Trooper Power Suit in C&C3.

  • i think this is the walvorine

  • I think its just a prototype for all the GDI walkers in general.

  • It was a GDI mech - on the start , in command and conquer was planned to have some sci fi tech pieces like this mech , but the creators decide to amke it more real , luckily :) And that video is some kind of joke , later they decide to extensively use mechs in tiberian sun

  • It was originally a cut scene created for GDI but the unit never was made so it was thrown at the end of the game as what they jokingly called a "sequel" still a great cutscene for it's time.

Too bad the Wolverine unit never had the same firepower.

  • Right. You can find some weird old concept arts of Tiberian Dawn which show soldiers in somekind of mech-like-exo-suits. Also one concept art shows a Scrin unit. In Tiberian Dawn. Yea, some pretty interesting stuff to look at. ;)

  • Looking forward to their new game, previews & music I've seen look fantastic! Whiel Renegade wasn't great it was a lot of fun & had new concepts like vehicle D-match which has been most successful in series like Battlefield etc. What I'd give to see all the un-used concepts & artwork.

  • It was.... it was calle dthe wolverween but it shot bullets instead

  • yeah this must have been GDI testing their Walker Technology

  • Hmmm...just realized something, they (Westwood) already knew what they were going to call the sequel to the original game? Since it was the cut scene after the game, right?

  • Thanks for posting, brings back memories!

  • Westwood was way better

  • Oh yeah definitely. EA is nothing in comparison.

  • Westwood are Amazing EA are gay

  • @Matt0593 This has been true since C&C came out almost lol

  • That must have been a prototype of a wolverine. Though a little more powerful... maybe alot.

  • yeah, my friend thinks it's the cybor commando

  • EA- consumer capitalist terrorists

  • i think in that trailer it give the first taste of the new weapons in tiberian sun

    Titan :D

  • that video was so cool back 11 years ago :)

  • LOL, someone in that mech is opening and closing a DooM door! :-D

  • yeahhhhh Doom doorsss!! good times..

  • EA = nazis.

  • no ea=big stupid business only worried about making big profits

  • absolutely agreed!!

  • They should have another priority?

  • reminds me of an avatar warmech

  • It's a real tragedy how the conglomerates gobble up little program studios like Westwood. Right on with the music comment. Luckily there are still good game designers like Chris Taylor to keep working after their studios get eaten. *Total Annihilation's Cavedog fall to Atari*

  • i am a mechanical i am a mechanical i am a mechanical man

  • This trailer would always piss me off, it's just so damn slow!

  • i don't know if you know, but there is a lot of movies (and games) that uses C&C sounds. example? the pink panther - on the begging, when the grandfather is driving back - he screams, but the sound is of dying soldier :)

in doom 3, when you pick up a berserk - it's a mix of sounds of dying soldiers. just type "DOOM BERSERK" in you tube and check 2nd video.

  • He's a friend of mine from high school. :)

  • I envy you. Frank Klepacki is the god of video game music. Everyone knows this.

  • Frank Klepacki is probably the best drummer in the world IMHO... I remember in high school in art class this nerdy kid coming up to me and a friend who were talking about 'Moby Dick' and he was like 'Yeah I can play that'.

My friend and I were like 'yeah right'. I went over to this kid's house (he was 14) and he totally blew me away... I predicted he would be even better than his idol Neal Peart, and that seems to be quite the case. ;)

You should hear his band now, it's sick!!!!

  • Shooting down A obiviously NOD driven Humvee.

  • Titans only have one arm for some reason...

  • YES! I noticed that too! lol! This is a rip-off. I have been playing Doom eversince it came out.

    Its the EXACT sound!

  • You do realize that sound is a stock sound, and has been used for dozens of different things having nothing to do with Doom right?

  • that is a wolferine dumb head :P

  • yup, its chasing down its predicesor!

  • Interesting point...the humvee has speed/agility where as the wolverine has firepower/protection.

  • humm..that robot,is it a titan? or what? O.o

  • Looks like a wolverine.

  • I'm sure of it too! I've heard it being used in movies, especially sci-fi ones.

  • this was the first generation wolverine, there were 3 concepts and the last one was armed with dual gattling cannons. Good choice i think.

  • ya, i remember seeing this long time ago when finished TD

it was like 10 years ago now

  • that is like earth-i-dont-know-the-rest game

  • Funny how it's got the Humvee in the corner of the HUD... Kind of like saying "This is the Humvee replacement", which the Wolverine actually was.

  • yea this unit is jst the Wolverine but with a laser and the Nod Avatar is much bigger this is jst showing the beginning of the mech tank era.

  • Yeah, the other two comments is pretty much what I thought too. Now that I see this again, I'd have to say this was a prototype weapon made during the time of TD. Later it went into full production after being modified and made more mass producible. Which is why we have the Wolverine in TS. :D If this was in TS, it would be like a walking Obelisk for GDI.

  • That's precisely what one of the units is in the upcoming Tiberium Wars

  • One of the units is like this? On GDI? The only thing I can think of that is similar is that big mech Nod has that shoots a laser.

  • oh yeah, that's what I meant, the Nod Avatar. Looks cool! I think the aliens have one too.

  • Yeah, they have the Annihilator I think it's called. It shoots 3 lasers, but I think I heard the Nod Avatar is actually stronger.

  • i cant wait to play the scrin, looks like so much fun

  • funny how that wolverine has a laser gun while the one in TS has a MG

  • Well actually, the unit kinda made it into the game, but heavily nerfed down. It's the basis for the TS Wolverine
