i used to take my younger sister to Batavia Downs when she was about 10 yrs old. we'd stand on the planks on the back fence in the barn area and watch the NY Sire Stakes Races. so often either Stanley Dancer and/or Billy Haughton would come off the track on the bike and stop and ask if my sister wanted to pet the horse.very, very nice men they were.

I remember when William Haughton was killed they did a video tribute to him on the WOR OTB Saturday Night Show with Stan Bergstein and Spencer Ross. The song they used was "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers. Does anyone have a copy they can post?

Bob Heyden could not have done a better job narrating this tribute. Stanley would have been most proud of Bob, Sam and Marjorie. Bob is to be absolutely commended on one of the finest eulogies I have ever heard.
