If you can locate the files, try deleting all of the add ons and stages. one of them might be crashing it.

It involves deleting some stuff in your Gmod folder though.

I sold my macs (they were old the old e macs,2 of them)To build a new Windows comp.

Now I have 4 windows pcs.

I tried Gmod like, a few days ago on my Macbook. It hasn't crashed for me.

Isn't there a way to disable tips?

@sonicfan966 Well, now i've disabled tips every time i load a map and now merely selecting the Tool gun crahses the game.

Most likely a issue with a Steam Engine update for a Gmod update.

I play Gmod on a Mac as well, and did a bunch of derping (did not find the issue) it could be an addon that you have installed doing the game crashing. however, i cannot access the damn toybox
