LG is just crap. Our monitors from LG have died in under 2 years, my 50" plasma screen cracked while watching a football game 1 1/2 years old. just crap! Never again. Low-cost Garbage is the legal name, I think.
This is also happening to my LG 32" LCD TV I bought on Dec 26th (2 months ago). The EPG keeps popping up and sometimes the controller doesn't work. They are shipping a new 32" to the closest Purolater to exchange the busted one but I'm wondering how long it will take for the new LG to crap out. Life is not good with this LG product :(
WHY do TV companys leave their stupid fuckin 'LOGOS' on burning away at our expensive HDTV screens? - REMOVE them you TOSSERS!! - also some advice to gamers - dont play the game for more than an hour each day - only watch plain TV channells with the ZOOM feature ON as to take off the channel LOGOS! as even these cause SCREENBURN too
everyone - be aware anything BRIGHT on ANY screen will 'BURN' away at your screen!
Seeing as it was clearly a firmware fault which every other owner of this TV was experiencing, replacing the mainboard seems a bit futile. I know a few people who had that done, and unsuprisingly, the fault remained.
Yes, LG claim it is fixed now. Just a shame it took them 6 months to write the fixed firmware. I don't expect to pay 800 quid for a TV that doesn't work properly for the first 6 months, I'm not paying for the joy of being an LG beta tester!
Gosh, how wrong of us to expect a television to work without having to be rebooted several times a day! Yes, I'd hapilly put up with that for only 800 pounds.
This problem sometimes occurs when you have a weak digital signal.Remember the programme info is being sent via your digital aerial aswell.Hence weak signal slow load up and motion on channel.
I have the exact same problem with mine. Mine is a 32LC2D. Its a great tv in all other respects, but this annoys the hell outta me! Any success in getting a refund?

The problem has nothing to do with weak digital signal. It's a firmware fault.

Yes - I got the full refund in the end. Quite rightly, too.
