Talk about memories: Inspired though essentially strapped, I saved up and traveled to London once on a record/CD hunt in search of Karn rarities, and this is one of the gems I returned with.
Thanks millions for the video, I do have the 7 inch single, but never seen the video. So rare! Thanks for the add!!!! I love bot Ure and Karn in their further careers, but this song is just something so unique!
I never knew there was a video for this. Was always a Midge Ure/Ultravox fan and a Japan fan...while this might not match up to either standard, it's a worthwhile collaboration. Wish it had more of James's (Midge's) quirky guitar (like from RAGE IN EDEN) along with Mick's awesome fretless bass, though. The next most interesting fretless bass player to me is the one from The Fixx (and I don't know his name off-hand). I also heard Midge Ure had a fretless guitar (above the 12th-15th fret).
Absolutely amazing song! It's one of those you never get tired of listening to, and with Mick's gorgeous bass, for me, as well the other instruments he possibly plays, it's a treat. Stunning!
The video is just as good aswell. It might be a bit pixelly, but then again, it is rare and we must respect that! And Mick is so gorgeous in it!
Thanks so much for posting! I really appreciate it!

Sorry guys, this track was quite possibly the biggest collaborative disappointment right up until Morgan Tsvangirai decided to partner Robert Mugabe. Dreadful track.
Can't believe I found the clip for "After A Fashion". I have searched so long for this video on YT. Thanks for uploading, and I must say on this occasion that the video totally lives up to this amazing track. I love how it's filmed in Egypt and how much culture is represented. It's so extraordinary how much culture there was through music and video in the 80's with Egyptian, Japanese, African culture and many other countires around the globe. Mick Karn looks stunning at 0:43 to 0:44, GENIUS!*!*
They may as well just thrown Peter Murphy in and made it a trifecta of coolness.

Thanks for uploading this. Been looking for it for ages. I wish someone would do a mix of this and Living on the Ceiling.

To those people who gave me the thumbs down, I adore Midge Ure and Ultravox, but this is just tosh.

"I second that emotion." A treat to see again, I was thinking back to this track a few weeks ago.
