it's sad people are reducing Jackie Evancho into a marketable commodity. She's so much more. The truth is many will be willing to share their hard earn pay to take away the music generated by this amazing person with a wonderful voice and there should be the focus, Jackie's voice. Jackie Evancho's voice transcends age, genre and language. It's so unbelievable if i hadn't seen her with my own eyes singing. We owe a lot to the remarkable people who helped Jackie in perfecting her talent and poise.

I have been listening to her cd all this Christmas season and she brings me to tears with her voice. She is beautiful too. That says marketability all day. She will be a major star.

I first encountered Jackie when I was on a tour of America with my family over the summer and we watched an episode in our room while visiting close to Yosemite National Park. And she is awesome. Her voice is brilliant, her foundation is strong and she has a great presense. I hope she continues to train her voice and she does great things with it.

I'm sure all the British chaps will go nuts over this, but Susan Boyle is almost 50, the Angel is only 10, as the talent department goes I'd say they're about even except Jackie has to sing with apple lungs and Susan has an entire set (which makes Jackie that much more amazing). In the "looks" department I don't think Susan could beat out an english Bulldog, and the Angel is already crowned Miss America.

Think about it before you open your mouth, a big difference in physical maturity, height, lung development, experience, language, memorization, the Angel would be at a huge disadvantage over Charlotte yet sounds so much better. Since I had a professional musician father and a stepsister who is a mid-level opera singer in

I never watched "America's Got Talent" and knew nothing about her till there was a feature on her in the local TV news in L.A. after her first AGT appearance. I don't get why she is compared to an angel. Are all angels meant to be blonde? Personally, I hope that the angels are a bit more diverse than peoples' conceptions seem to be. I agree with irish89055 boyle and church can't hold a candle to Jackie, this young lady has probably one of the most angelic voices we have ever heard, she is confident, very pretty, not over dressed and lets hope she stays off of the drugs and drink like church and then try and I mean try to become a pop star, and that her mother is not overly greedy by pushing her into something she doesn't want to become. Her voice and her personality must be focused for a lifetime of success. god bless

I first encountered Jackie when I was on a tour of America with my family over the summer and we watched an episode in our room while visiting close to Yosemite National Park. And she is awesome. Her voice is brilliant, her foundation is strong and she has a great presense. I hope she continues to train her voice and she does great things with it.

I'm sure all the British chaps will go nuts over this, but Susan Boyle is almost 50, the Angel is only 10, as the talent department goes I'd say they're about even except Jackie has to sing with apple lungs and Susan has an entire set (which makes Jackie that much more amazing). In the "looks" department I don't think Susan could beat out an english Bulldog, and the Angel is already crowned Miss America.

And FYI Charlotte was the first "voice of an angel" dubbed here in the UK and US.

Think about it before you open your mouth, a big difference in physical maturity, height, lung development, experience, language, memorization, the Angel would be at a huge disadvantage over Charlotte yet sounds so much better. Another example that God given talent overrides any other kind.

Cause she do not deserve it! she deserve wayy wayy more and will earn 1000times more and perform in a prestigious concert hall around the world for everyone to enjoy her talent . Since I had a professional musician father and a stepsister who is a mid-level opera singer in

"Correctly" in your opinion is in reality an archaic form dating to the centuries before electronic sound systems.
A real necessity way back then, essentially nothing but quaint and unnecessary now.
Sound quality and enjoyability is totally sacrificed for technical projection and volume.
Opera snobs should be grateful that Jackie and other CC artists may bring new fans into the realm of Classical music and spark new interest, otherwise your dying form is doomed.

I never watched "America's Got Talent" and knew nothing about her till there was a feature on her in the local TV news in L.A. after her first AGT appearance. I then watched the show every week just for her performances.
That first album was no longer available when I checked, but I am looking forward to her first release on her new label.

@Asiats1 Susan Boyle has started her career, albeit later in life-she has some years to go yet and will always be dear in the hearts of the Scots. Charlotte Church of Wales was a singing protegee at 11 yrs of age. She later lost the great vocal quality by smoking and drinking a tad too much. Susan Boyle's voice is pure in spite of her yrs. Jackie's voice needs to be nurtured and protected until maturity.

Both Jackie and Susan were on Oprah on 10/19/2010, both airings in the afternoon and evening (watched both just to see Jackie). Her performance of "Pie Jesu" almost seemed better than on "A'sGT". Insanely clear, precise/right-on transitions to high notes without gliding to them, pitch perfect clarity, the whole shebang. In my mind, Susan B. doesn't even come close.

I don't get why she is compared to an angel. Are all angels meant to be blonde? Personally, I hope that the angels are a bit more diverse than peoples' conceptions seem to be. Jesus after all was not a Nordic Northern European. I think that angels are more like Alice Tan Ridley, a woman who has tremendous soul in her voice, and has worked hard to provide for her children, and clearly has a good heart. That is what is angelic--not blonde hair.
