Photoshop Tutorial : How to make a custom twitter layout

I'm new in photoshop, so maybe someone can explain one thing. I have a problem, when i create new layer and trying to use abstract brush nothing happens. I can use it just on backroung layer but when i want rotate and move in other side i cant...

@SuBoXiDaS On the Layers Box on the Bottom Left side, on the background layer, theres a lock like icon, double click it & click ok to unllock it & then Edit the Way you want it !!!

Thanks very much, very useful, but you've put another layer above the background layer towards the middle of the video, and when you painted it's quick masked, I think.

I used to PS lots when I was about your age, but work and rubbish made me forget, I'm trying to remember things, and so, can you remind me how you've masked it so that when you abstract brush it, it shows the colour layer?

Do you have to pay? i went to the free 1 and when i opened it it only had the black square and nothing at the side, only at the top file image edit adnd help

No it is free, you don't have to pay when you open the file you start editing that file, so it would look how you wish.

yeah your twitter background on your page has a black line on the bottom, you didnt make it tall enough. its always best to make it much wider/taller than needed :)

Hi michiel, to make the first layer i just simply opened the size image i needed and then unlocked the layer, then deleted it and it left me with the transparent layer.... is that what you are asking ?

I use CS4 for mac, but those brushes are custom brushes, they don't come with the photoshop.
