@superchef78 well,if one focuses more on the idea of the aesthetics of it and not the "image" bands want to uphold, then they could see my point of view. But Satanism was the conceptual theme before that, as well as misanthropy and nihilism, although nowadays satanism is becoming less prevalent  towards it. So I guess your right in some sense, nihilism and misanthropy are more inherent.
