Well I guess that must prove just how subjective one's viewing experience can be. Suffice to say I do not find the show particularly well-written, directed, acted, and Certainly NOT "spectacular". And it's not just because I'm a male and it's mostly a female show; I really don't think it's good, very ok at best.

I'll just say that DH is indeed a good show, maybe if you took the time to develop an interest in watching you'd fall in love with it. Though it's mostly female orientated because it's protagonized by women, it can be very interesting even for straight males such as you and I. Sure as hell beats Sex and The City...
