This game was awesome. Question though: what capture tuner are you using? The lines on the screen are a bit strange, it looks like raw Dazzle footage.
@DonClaret22 We used a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 and recorded the footage with Win TV 2000. The lines are probably because the video footage was first going through a VCR, then from VCR to the TV tuner so we could play the game live without video lag at 480i. Or maybe the lines are happening because there is a lot of quick movement the TV tuner couldn't handle.
@Zott820 Yeah, very true. I was just asking because I use a Dazzle, and when I record, the raw video looks like that, but if you actually put it in an editor that doesn't happen.
I have a 360 and i bought the xbox game and i cant get the golden eye to work because the instructions say use the d-pad but theres no d-pad on 360 how can i work the goldeneye????

the best bond game besides the orig golden eye.. simply because the skill of this game is beyond the other games. multitasking two different weapons is the shit. the variety of weapons is also great, too bad there was no sequel.

id like to point something out about the title, even though Goldeneye Rogue Agent has characters from the 007 saga, Goldeneye Rogue Agent isnt a 007 game it is the 1st game of the Goldeneye saga which lasted only one game b/c of bad ratings last I checked. yes, I understand this game does fall in the world of James Bond but you are not playing as James Bond, you are playing as a ex-MI6 agent plus the Goldeneye saga isnt connected to the 007 saga anywhere.

In your opinion which version of the game is best; PS2, XBox or GC? I've been thinking of picking up the GC port but I wanna make sure it'd be a good investment.
@AngelOfIron I've only played the GC version. I would assume the PS2 graphics would be worse and the xbox graphics to be better. If the xbox or ps2 version comes on one disk, get it because the GC one comes on 2 disks, one for single player and one for multiplayer. Swapping is annoying.

Wow, this is such an embarrassment to the franchise. And the graphics and gameplay are very similar to the craptacular Red Steel (though not quite as bad). As for the storyline...well, when a storyline is made exclusively for a game, it should never actually feel like it when you play, and that's exactly the case with this game. The only thing that was "good" about it was that they reintroduced so many Bond villains, and the game's title is actually relevant to the storyline in some way.

@Tasar30 in 8.17 M says: "you were directly responsible for the death of 007" and he is not seen for the rest of the game. I think he died. This was a good game as a story but I think guns didnt pack a punch.
@Tasar30 no, this was just a training course simulation, bond never really died, he just died in the simulation, but after this mission, you see him next to your guy in the cutscene, so he still lived past it[ plus if this was real, the nuke that goes off at the end would of killed your guy too which would be a major plothole...]
This game was really fun, and challengeing to the point where apart from the first mission, you had to pretty much take out an entire army of enemys each level (:

I last played when I was 9. I played this game every other day,when I didn't want to play Halo 2. That ACR Commando was my favorite Machine Gun and Jackal 357 was my fav pistol.
No it has its on completely different plot line the only real similarities between them are the fact that they both have the word golden eye in its title.
Despite what most of the reviews said of this game, I really enjoyed it, the gunplay was awesome back when it came out, and it was a lot of fun being a villain.
It was fun up until the Hoover Dam mission because then you had to conserve your ammo and the enemies and helicopters overwhelmed you. I got to the 2nd half of the volcano mission and I quit cause it was too hard. Too linear.

Goldeneye was the first game i have ever played and i loved the shit out of that game, one of the best games/FPS that i have had. And another thing, none of these new games are not better than the old games.THEY ARE SHIT!!!!!! Theres only certain new games i like but most of them are shit so don't say that i like the new games better. I never said anything you said in your comment

@sanjograi123 yes i liked it very very much. I used to play the shit out of the multiplayer in goldeneye with my cousin. what i am trying to say is some of the new games lack the qualities that the old games had when they came out. Like modern warfare 2, that game was just another generic FPS game.

Wow, this is such an embarrassment to the franchise. And the graphics and gameplay are very similar to the craptacular Red Steel (though not quite as bad). As for the storyline...well, when a storyline is made exclusively for a game, it should never actually feel like it when you play, and that's exactly the case with this game. The only thing that was "good" about it was that they reintroduced so many Bond villains, and the game's title is actually relevant to the storyline in some way.

@eltigreandthewalrus Nah, they just looked bad in the trailer. If you look at a gameplay video released on gamesweasel's channel, you can see that the graphics look WAY BETTER than Rogue Agent's.

I hated this game so much because some idiot thought that shoving the crosshair 3/4 OF THE WAY UP THE SCREEN WAS A GOOD IDEA.

@Tasar30 Bond is just in this training simulation mission. He doesn't show up again and the main agent here doesn't interact with him any more after this level.

@Tasar30 in 8.17 M says: "you were directly responsible for the death of 007" and he is not seen for the rest of the game. I think he died. This was a good game as a story but I think guns didnt pack a punch.

@Tasar30 no, this was just a training course simulation, bond never really died, he just died in the simulation, but after this mission, you see him next to your guy in the cutscene, so he still lived past it[ plus if this was real, the nuke that goes off at the end would of killed your guy too which would be a major plothole...]

This game was really fun, and challengeing to the point where apart from the first mission, you had to pretty much take out an entire army of enemys each level (:
As many have said, this game had so much potential, and a few basic changes (guns, multiplayer, level length.etc) could have made it a big hit

I last played when I was 9. I played this game every other day,when I didn't want to play Halo 2. That ACR Commando was my favorite Machine Gun and Jackal 357 was my fav pistol.

Despite what most of the reviews said of this game, I really enjoyed it, the gunplay was awesome back when it came out, and it was a lot of fun being a villain.

It was fun up until the Hoover Dam mission because then you had to conserve your ammo and the enemies and helicopters overwhelmed you. I got to the 2nd half of the volcano mission and I quit cause it was too hard. Too linear.
