  • this dude is funny, what a tool, listen i started on a 600 lime green zx-6r i've never dropped it, this dude is speaking from personnal experience i guess, he may have dropped his bike a few times does not mean everyone else will, the bike will only go as fast as you allow it you can drop either a 250 or a 600 or a 1000 cc just the same, ive nothing against 250cc motorbikes, i just think this dude is talking out of his arse.

  • RP FTW

  • professionals lol...

  • people who start on 600s and say 250s are gay either have small penises, never rode a 250cc, or have a low self esteem, or a combination of the three.

  • I learned how to ride on a 750 Katana. I had a good teacher

  • Im learned how to ride on a 750 Katana. So you can start on anything higher than a 250..

  • That's the main reason I got a Kawasaki Ninja 2010, The gas. Plus the bike is cheap.

  • stupid people telling u to get a 250 cc bike for a starter bike i say just get your dream bike come on if u r not happy on 250 cc or 600 cc just get a 1000 cc just be careful with it take your time to learn how to ride your dream bike i bet u it only take a few day to get use to your bike

  • anyone starting off with a 600 is pretty dam retarded where on earth are you gonna find a spot to go full speed without getting fucked in the butt by the police?

  • thanks for the info about everything. the gas part makes alot of sense and the 600s are getting crazy.they have honda 600s at the barber motorsports park for you to ride around a course.kevin schwarts owns it

  • I dont know why some1 would wanna start on a 600 coz if u do u miss out on all the fun and experience of a 250, seriously learners start on a 250 and u wont regret it.

  • @M3TALFLY i started on a 500, its from 1984 and it only makes 50 hp so its pretty slow and i loved it. wouldnt change it for anything

  • "starts right up every time"..... and then dies and wont restart... classic

  • give this bloke credit dudes, he is teaching stuff that could save your kids lives once they decide to ride.

hell, it may even save your limbs if you want to listen.

  • Thats the kawasaki ninja 500 not 250

  • Can some one list off good beginner bikes other than a 250?

  • @XxUnknownxX8 a 125cc, like the Honda CBR 125R. Or a 150cc. But, you really shouldn't get anything more than a 250.

  • @XxUnknownxX8

Suzuki GSX-R1300, also known as Hayabusa

  • The older 250s are so ugly

  • one ugly fuckin bike

  • either u got some ashy ass hands or u have a very exspensive coke habit lmao

  • cant have gay music when your trying to talk.. ruins the video

    other wise good vid

  • 14.5? I'll have to see that.

  • You're gonna outgrow a 250 in about three days.

  • @trixwagen LOL exactly. You can start out on a 500 or pre-2000s 600 that you won't get bored of in a week. 250 isn't the only good beginner bike.

  • ''remember it's your first bike, not your last bike'' - well said! probibly the best bike to start off with

  • Hey whats up, I had a question how do you tell if you need gas if that model doesn't have a fuel gauge? how does that work?

  • @thenbaspurs you have a gas light that pops up once you have about 20 miles to empty. thats how my 2003 zx636 works.

  • @thenbaspurs On bikes that do NOT come equipped with a fuel-gauge,when your bike starts getting "lean" and hesitating or missing, that usually means your running low on fuel.At that point, stop the bike and turn your fuel-petcock from "ON" to "RES" (reserve) and that should give an extra 3/4 gallon of fuel left in reserve!!

  • My first big bike which i have now is a gs500e and i'm more then happy with it, has a few mods like jetting, filter and exhaust so it's quiet nippy will do over 120mph with a tad more to give, i will admit it won't be anywhere near as economical as a 250 but i like having that little bit more torque of the 500 but saying that i wouldn't have turned down a ninja 250. On a 600 i would have ended up on the wrong side of a hedge so yeah; great advice, great bike, great vid man ^^

  • I started on a ZX6R. Take a class youll be all right.

  • Hey bro, thanks for the video, and thanks for your service!

  • This is going to be my first year riding, and i get my motorcycle license in about a week and im starting out with an 04 Suzuki SV650S. Cant really say ur gonna kill urself on anything more than a 250 because i hopped right on my bike and rode like a champ!! Then again im not a 16 year old who just got my license either.

  • Good video for a nub like me!

  • under 500 is boring...

who rides bike without want to drive fast as hell.....

500 is a good starter bike.... guess why they use em in driverschool^^

  • MSF Course uses 250's........

  • 600 bikes are for pros??? dead in first week??? damn i must be super human or something.......

    get real dude

  • My cousin who is about 5'7'' and about 160 pounds got a 600cc katana as a first bike. He is doing fine. He didnt die in his first week. lol.

it all depends on your style of riding and your attitude towards riding bikes.

  • how old is that dude, 8?

  • Dried Paint doesnt wash off that fast.....besides, we had only made about 50 Ron Paul signs so far that day, so we had atleast 50 more to make, we just took a little break to film the video! LOL :)

  • @haskellfilmz good video don't mind those idiot europeans they're still getting accustomed to the real way of doing things ;)

  • lol, you're mad for no reason. I guess you have a problem with averages?

  • Your a filthy what? Don't be so hard on yourself. Your just un-educated.

  • @haskellfilmz

Whats the name of the song in the vid?

  • @haskellfilmz Says the person who doesn't know the difference between "Your" and "You're".

  • @haskellfilmz fuck honda900fz's a idiot if he actually listened you said '' you MAY drop your bike'' not ''you are going to drop your bike''............not all of us are haters nice vid mate good advice

  • I started out on a 2002 R6 I didn't kill myself obviousley nor did I drop it but I suppose there is a bit of a % chance for everyone... I hate the sound the 250 makes sounds like a lawn mower. But always wear a helmet guys it's not usually how you ride, its the grandma that pulls out infront of u thinkin you can stop on a dime

  • hey whats the name of the song and artist?

  • @xbowhntrzx

Its Dr. Dre & Mel Man - Shittin on the World

  • cool video, thanks

  • This dude is savin' lives. Stop hatin". A motorcycle is a dangerous street vehicle. Drive safe you early drivers!!!!

  • @gymalien Motorcycles are not dangerous. Bad drivers are dangerous.

  • my bad, didnt mean to be a dick head about it.

  • i didnt bring up the argument between power and clutch wheelies. I know using the clutch is easier. My point was made to the Original poster who says that it will wheelie by barely hitting the gas. That is not true.

I ride the shit outta sport bikes man....I race them so I appreciate you telling me information I already know.

  • where do i start with this video.......

  • actually just hitting the gas on a 600 will not make you wheelie. Even first gear, its not gonna come up just on accelleration, you have to blip it and use the rebound of the forks and throttle to power wheelie. Now a 750 and 1000 come up just from accellerating.

  • if you have ridden fast quads and fast dirtbikes ull be fine with a 600 i started witha katana 750 and i have a cbr1000rr now at the age of 27

  • ron paul revolution :)

  • i got mines for $900

  • you can outgrow the 250 by the time you drive away from whomever you bought it from....

My girlfriend has one and she's 5'2 and 110 lbs and it's too little for her now...

If you just drive without letting your balls be bigger than your brain you can start on a 500 or a 600+ non supersport bike... i.e. 650r fz6r sv650/gladius etc...

  • I was going to buy the 250r, I'm 5,10" and about 200lbs. I've heard that this is to small for bigger guys. Is this the case for me? Should I get the 250 or 500? It is my very first bike and I've never rode before.

  • test out the 250 first and if its too little power then go with something bigger, dont go above 600cc for your first bike, you dont want to kill yourself

  • thats a stupid comment.. you can even drive an 1000 cc if you drive normal.. you drive the bike not she you!

  • yes, but watch some other video's, you pop the clutch badly once and the bike flips over and gets internal damage. That sounded like a comment from someone who doesnt know anything about sport bikes

  • you are right i dont know a lot of sportbikes.. but i imagine everyone who has driven a bike before or driven an car should know how to pop the clutch..

  • you'd be suprised how many people actually havent driven a manuel transmission. and its drifferent on motorcycles and cars. But your right, they SHOULD know how to

  • For PROFESSIONALS?! You sir, FAIL - AT LIFE. I'm 14, and I fit on the Ninja 250 PERFECTLY, just think of how it will be when i'm 16 and get my first bike, probably will be a 2009 ninja 250, because the other years are so ugly. otherwise, if you're 18, and you get your first bike, he's right get something inexpensive because you will drop it, but still, i'd go with a 2009 Ninja 500, I mean it looks like the 2008 NInja 250, which is really ugly.i've been riding 90-250's for the past year or two,

  • I'm new to cycling. Unlike other videos here on youtube just showing the person pressing on the ignition, I find your video very informative...like your discriptions and suggestions. Thanks!!!

  • 56,737 75 08/15/09

  • Throttle control comes with experience.. something you dont have as a beginner. Better to start with something like this. The Ninja 250 is PLENTY fast.. plus its great in the twisties.

  • I started out on a Ninja 250 and I am glad that I was able to get experience with it when I bought my Sportster 1200. I still have and ride my 250 for fun and commuting. It is nice to go in the garage in the morning and decide which bike to ride that day, or like today rode the Sportster in the morning and the 250 in the afternoon.

  • Always nice to have two bikes...at least :)

I have a 78 Honda CX500, and one of those cheap Chinese Dual Sports, that I bought just to re-learn how to ride on... Sometimes I like riding the DS.. its light and easy to ride. The Honda is a big heavy and fairly quick bike.. so it just depends on my mood, and what I plan on doing that day.

  • @kens97sto171 what about turns. is the 250 ninja good for beginners in that respect?

  • @KIERAN11872

Definitely. Its a really light bike and is quite good in the turns really its the best thing about the ninja250. Light and easy to handle.are good things for a beginner. But with experience it can be really amazing in the turns too.

  • I think he means that the value of our dollar is weakening. The government is printing out all that money for bailout after bailout and we don't have enough gold in the reserves to back it. I keep telling all my friends on Harley's that if we don't turn the economy around, we're all going to be riding on rice burners, as they say.

  • i hate people who hate you for going faster than them so they cut in front of you and tap their brakes i mean if you really wrecked what would they feel i mean seriously

  • i agree with tinifatcat14... dont tell someone they are going to die! if they get a 600 good for them you goof.

  • it doesnt pop up automatically it could do it if you let the clutch out to fast but if its nice and easy you should be fine with the right throttle control not saying it couldnt happen so dont bitch at me but im saying it just takes practice thats it

  • how is our money losing currency? Is this a Nike commercial "Just Do It"

  • a 250 is plenty of power the new ninjas 250 can go past 110mph so unless you have a death wish have fun...or if you want a 300 dollar fine

  • Well 250 is plenty, but they top around 105 with a light rider

  • Comment removed

  • Just saying that version of the ninja is ugly as hell!!!

  • good buying tip on a helmet

  • what happend to yr fuckin hand

  • i need this in Pink.

  • is that an older 250 cause it doesnt have that new look, it has the ninja 500 look

  • it looks like a 2006 ninja 250r. it looks exactly like mine, they didn't put the "newer sport bike" look into them until the 08's i believe.

  • 07 actually.

  • lol no its 08

  • can you hang a helmet from under the seat if u know wat im talking about lol?

  • thats a ninja 500 isent it

  • I have this exact same bike 2007 in candy fusion blue... I LOVE IT!!! SCREW ALL YOU 250 HATERS!!!! I'll get something bigger eventually (i'm a beginner)... but i can easily keep up whit all my 600cc friends!

  • i know how could u diss the ninja 250 it is one of the best values out there for bikes and its still reasonably fast (well fast enough for a lot of people)

  • absolutely! I just got mine back today... it was in the shop for two days... i had to have it lowered... I'm a very short, very petite girl and at minimum height this bike is still too high for me. I'm about 5'2... but i love this little bike... It's just awesome and does it's job perfectly!

  • is it true that girls dig guys with a bike (motorcycle) lol !!!

  • I do. got a weakness for it. Something sexy about all that raw power between ur legs.

  • yes they do.

  • Got an 04 ninja 250 and 4 days later with 3000 more miles on it I'm ready to upgrade. So if you're serious about riding get a 600 and just learn to manage it. Just keep giving it gears to keep the beast at bay aka keep it out of the power band lol

  • haha there seriously is only room in that trunk for a sandwhich, but not a $5 footlong, gotta eat like 3/4 of it to get it in there.

  • get a crappy first bike not a 8000dollar work of art,,, your gonna drop your bike 3 times in the first 12000miles,, one drop on a sportbike at 5 plus miles perhour will do about +- 500dollars damage,, do the math no one can dispute this fact,,,period -end of DEBATE THANKYOU,, and vote Jesse ventura 2012

  • lol..i like that saying "it's your first bike, not your last bike"...i will keep that with me forever..lol

  • who's the girl in the helmet?

  • Don't listen to these hairless, 12 year old virgin wannabe riders. The Ninja 250 is a GREAT beginner bike. That way you can learn without killing yourself or wrecking it and sticking mommy or daddy for $5-10K.

Plenty of YouTube videos of dipweeds like sticks4330 who "think" they can ride doing stupid crap that make experienced riders laugh at them.

  • wow!!! you are my hero!!!! i am just so astonished that someone of your age can ride a 600! you must be like a child prodigy or something, right??

GIVE ME A BREAK! While there are those who can start out on a higher CC bike, it is ALWAYS safer for beginners to start out on something smaller. And as far as Ninjas go, a 250 does everything and more than you should need it to do.

  • haha starts right up!

  • thats ironic.. mine STILL wont and its been like a month!

  • 44613 65 142 00

  • it took 3 cuz i repeated the vid 56 times ^^jk-.-

  • you shit head i hope i scrape your ass off the side of the raod.

dont be a fuck tard like this 12 year old. if you are just starting out get a 250, you can slip the clutch and not destroy your ass.

a message from your local fire department.

  • dude calm down what 1st big bike would you reccomend?

  • My very first bike that i ever rode was a GSXR 600. That same bike is the bike i own and ride everyday. Ive had it for a year and im not dead yet haha. Just goes to show that not everyone needs a 250 to start out. but do research and look what suits you best.

  • I live in the UK mate, are laws are very different, you can past your full bike test at the age of 17, but your only allowed anything from a 50cc to a 300cc untill the age of 21 so I need some like a 150cc or a 250cc, I wish to have a superbike which is not too fairley expencive and is good on speed and fuel/gas.

  • Not disagree'ing but the UK law states if you pass your motorcycle Class A licence the first 2 years you must spend on a bike which is or restricted to 33bhp so that could be almost any bike, non-the-less 250 is still a great start though

  • trickyrick like suckydick....

You couldn't even handle all that a 250 handles ya fag

  • ridder1705 why dont you go ride a fat dick commenting on something i said 3 months ago. I have almost three times as much power as a 250 and i can handle it more than you can ride a kids dirtbike bitch so shut the fuck up and fuck off

  • lmfao.. "starts right up" then it dies.. priceless.

  • lol it was cold and had no choak when he first tried, not the bikes fault anyway xD

  • lol no, the bike looks nice but the point of my comment was that it was hilarious when he said that.

  • Ron Pauls the man!! Should've been president. I got a 73 Triumph Trident 150V that is my Dads, who will be letting me ride it. But when I get my license I'm going to start small and am thinking about getting just a little Ninja 250.

  • Why do you have paint on yourself?

  • See the video response....it explains that!

  • do you maybe like ron paul?

  • boring!!! an inline 4 may kill a beginner, but there are alternatives.. such as 500, or 650 v-twins. my grandma rides a 250.

  • Kick ass learners bike!

  • wow i take it its a 07 or 06?they did a big job on redesining the bike for 08 hope 09 has more surprises maybe fuel injection. I never was a fan of square head lamps.

  • I would say get the 500r cuz the 250 can't do anything. The 500r has enough power for the month after you get used to it to have lots and lots of fun.

  • 41057 61 129 0

  • ghost ryder!

  • thanks bro i am getting my first bike and i am also an experienced rider but i wasnt sure if the ninja 250 was the right one for me ur vid really sold me on it thanks

  • I am thinking of getting a bike, but it rains almost everyday here!

  • bikes good... 2008 :D

  • hmm im 5"10 about 170 pounds this bike good for me or should i jump to the 500?

  • its great, im 185 5 10 and im getting it in a week

  • The new 2008 250r's should haul you if your 250 pounds, but originally if you want to go fast you should be an average of 150pounds considering it only is a 250cc motor. What I recommend is doing the MSR course get used to some bigger motors and probably get atleast a 600cc. A GSXR 600 does "fly". The higher you go in cc though usually the slower your acceleration depending on what bike you have.

  • I learned on a 600. You'll kill yourself on a 250 or anything if you don't pay attention, have appreciation for what will happen if you bust your ass, and take plenty of time learning to ride responsibly. Gear is a must. If there is anything you want to spend money on make it good gear and always wear your helmet.

  • so dont get a 250?

    im 6' roughly 205 lbs

i was thinking about the gsxr 600

guy in the video said not to

i dont want to have the 250 and it be too light for me or anything

  • what if i weight 270 pounds should i consider something bigger?

  • yes. Go with a Ninja 500 or a Suzuki GS500. If that doesn't do it, then look at a Suzuki SV650 or a Ninja 650. Stay away from any 600 or higher (other than the 650s). The engine is much more powerful on those.

  • Anything with 4cylinders should not be considered basicly

except for like a katana or a super rare 400cc bike.

  • miksane stick to bmx and playing videogames. ok.

  • get a girl friend kid. stop bothering me.

  • dude whats your point? get off my dick already.

  • good choice for any begginer and easly sold because lets face it there will alwasy be begginer riders get it lol? good bike buddy

  • Fuck removing Ron Paul's name from that bike, spread his word and name around regardless of his withdraw, he was in it to spark a nation on the right course. Wake the FUCK UP SHEEPLE. nice bike btw

  • I'm very sorry to give you a minus for ron Paul.

I'm with this trully patriotic Man. I think if Ron Paul would be your president the world will change the way it goes now.

Greating's from Poland. We have similar Man as Your Ron Paul. His name is Janusz Korwin Mikke but like Ron Paul He's treated by the popular media like crazy politician with "crazy" solutions...

    Long live Ron Paul !!!!

And don't let them ( government FED )to rob your money!!!!

  • "He's treated by the popular media like crazy politician"

Its a shame your considered crazy if you want to go by what the constitution says. I'm not really into sport bikes, but i must say i kind of like the 250 ninja. Im a beginner rider too and im thinking about this as my first bike.

  • Yes, res stands for reserve. Under normal driving conditions, you'll keep your switch on the "ON" position. Since the 2007 and before models do not have a fuel gauge, you may run out of gas. If this happens, you simply turn the switch to the "res" position and you'll have ~.21 gallons of gas at your disposal to get to a gas station to fill up. Once you're full, put it back to the ON position. There is really only one tank, but if you set it on reserve, it pulls gas from a lower part of the tank.

  • whats that stuff on ur hand?

  • i own a 2003 ninja 250 and its a amazing bike i love it =). very fast for a 250. if u want a good bike to start out on get a ninja 250 because i was gunna get a r6 but after riding my ninja im glad i didnt. what ever you buy one for you can almost resell them for again years later. they hold value very good.

  • when you buy gear, get it bright, not all black like knight rider there. :)

  • Now that Ron Paul is out of the running, are you going to support Barr? He's certainly the best choice when all you have to choose from is Obama or McCain. How people can support either of them is beyond me...

  • "starts every time"

  • Timestamp 46-33097-96

  • I'm new on Motorcycles, so I don't know anything about them. Are motorcycles water proof? Would these kinds of bikes be okay if they're rained on hard?

  • A GSX13000r is water proof, no problems driving that in the rain, they are also a great starter bike, easy to learn on.

  • ahahahahaha

  • I think my lawnmower has more horsepower then that pile of shit. I liked the backyard mickey mouse filming skills though. Oh yeah and how about you wash your fucking hands next time you make a joke of a video like this Van Gogh.

  • If you have a bigger faster bike why are you searching YouTube for videos about 250cc bikes? It's like if you like chicks but you watch gay porn all night. Go watch some squid GIXXER videos then, tough stuff. You'll see why we like 250s, because no one ever dies in a 250 video. Someone dies or goes to jail in every GIXXER video that has ever been recorded. I'll kick your mom's ass.

  • i own a 600 and have a ninja 250 (08 version)

the 250 ninja is such a nice bike to have fun, learn, and cruising. As advice for u beginners, u don't need to have a really fast and heavy bike.

  • good advice but 600cc is the way to go

  • nice bike yo, and vote ron paul

  • OMG - I LOVE THIS...Especially the comment about being DEAD?!? LMFAO. NICE... Thanks for the review. It was great.
