many of which showing subtle changes in anatomy, building up over time, and each species having a common ancestor with another species at some juncture, which is why lions can still reproduce with tigers, and zebras with donkeys, but their offspring will be infertile, so the point at which two sub-speices become different species, is not a clear cut. (speciation is defined by being genetically incompatible with another)

I wouldn't say Harun Yahya is a "Muslim Scholar" -he has not studied the traditional sciences of Islam, nor does he have any ijazah's [liscences to teach] that I'm aware of. Also, saying he is "highly respected" in the Muslim world, is not entirely accurate. He is highly respected by many Muslims, true. But nevertheless he remains a highly controversial figure in the Muslim world. Many Muslims [including scholars] disparage his works and ideas.

Lets not forget, this guy also believes the Mahdi is returning soon to his town Istanbul. If you dont believe me watch the videos on youtube Muslim scholars condemning him as a fraud. Most of his teachings are pulled right out of his ass and have no foundation on Islamic teachings. In his videos he keeps telling the signs and giveaways of the mahdi (muslims themselves don't know where he gets it from) that clearly points to himself.
